This TV is great and it is the cheapest you can buy delivered. I have mine coming Tuesday. The only reason I bought one is that my cousin has one in his lounge and the quality of the 4K UHD display is fantastic at this price.

Pixmania? Claim price on a typo?
Good luck with that.
That is 40 Inches big, this s 48 inches big. Therefore it is 8 inches larger. SIgnificant for a TV.

I purchased this TV from PRC Direct.
I can connect my Samsung S4 mini via screen mirroring but when it connects it just shows my phone home screen and doesn't change image on the screen when I use the phone. Am I doing something wrong?

With the size, you obviously notice it isnt HD, but it does do a superb job at upscaling. Do it you wont regret.

Bought this TV about a month or so ago and SD isn't too bad at all, perfectly watchable.
The TV itself is brilliant! Can't recommend enough for anyone looking for a 4k tv.

Got this TV from Richer Sound and its superb! Sony are going to introduce PS 4.5 for playing 4K games this year !!

11 Apr 16#17
LOL... don't buy into the hype. A £5,000 PC can't even do 4K justice (YET) and run at a consistent high FPS, so don't expect a console at the fraction of the price to be anywhere near adequate. If the PS4.5 comes to fruition, it will be a welcome performance bump and timed around their VR headset release. Anyone expecting a full smooth 4K gaming experience is in la-la land. You only need to see how woeful the existing PS4 is compared to PC to realise how far behind it is.
Don't get me wrong, I'm no console hater, I have a PS4 myself... but reality check please.

Sony are going to release the PS4K to play 1080p games upresed to 4K and 4K Blurays. There is nothing GPU wise on the market today or in the next year or even probably two that will let a PS4 of any description run most games at 4K for the price of the console, unless they make it about 800 quid.
TALON1973 to quglarz
11 Apr 16#39
no its not... it will be a 4k capable media player, with built in uhd disc drive . The ps4 even with an update won't do 4k gaming. a pc costing a grand struggles with it
mrb30 to quglarz
12 Apr 16#53
IF they introduce a PS4.5 there's no chance it will be able to play native 4K games, don't be mislead.

Did you price match in store or did you call them?
I'm surprised as they normally take the warranty into account hence they wouldn't typically price match this.

11 Apr 161#21
Lol consoles can't even do 1920 x 1080 consistently let alone FOUR TIMES that resolution which of course, would need four times the performance just for the same in game assets and framerate. To put that in perspective, a GTX980ti coupled with a bunch of very expensive hardware barely knocks out 4x the performance of PS4's GPU.
Any increased performance would surely be to focus on the VR aspects as mentioned, which adds even more performance overhead to games. 4K native games are a pipedream in an affordable console box.
Well, unless you freeze yourself and wake up in 2020.

Same here, I originally price matched to C&Ms £499 price which JL agreed to, saw it drop to £489 but didn't want to risk asking JL for the extra £10 in case some new advisor pulled the warranty cost trick on me. Next thing I know, email from JL confirming they have price matched to £489 inc delivery with the 5yr
The TV is fantastic after tweaking to Darko settings, 1080p looks stunning, and have tested some 4k material which is breathtaking, in particular the popular Costa Rica demo. My only slight moan would be the viewing angles aren't great but I'm coming from a plasma, sure I'll get used to it.

It will be interesting to see if they price match this as the product code is slightly different. I assume they do this to avoid the price match. JL = UE48JU6410 C&M = UE48JU6400

"10" instead of "00" at the end of the number, will normally distinguish a difference in colour to the bezel. In this case, 6400 black bezel, 6410 silver bezel.

Out standing price tbh the 40inch model was £550 just 6 months ago !
SD quality is good, angles are decent from the side but watching dead on is best, otherwise could not see any Sony or LG TVs in JL store that came close to matching the deep black levels the JU series delivers. The Sony and LGs did have better colour but when grey or dark scenes it just looked bad, the JU series imo has a decent overall performance in all areas unlike other TVs.
Forget about 4K tbh its not here yet and may never be, but the JU series delivers good colours, angles and deep blacks nicely even on SD or 4K content (had it for 7 months) Don't forget to follow the AV picture test guide to get the best of your TV.
Anyone know what the specs are on the panel, will it game ok or is it laggy as all get out like the other 4K TVs.

Not really since they are classed as different models completely if you look at other models in the Samsung range 6500 and 6510 one black one and one white, the black one is £799 the white over £900 everywhere same internals just different cases so different TVs.
