The company was Bargainlot, or at least mine was supplied by them. Once they were aware of the problems caused by Groupon they were very apologetic and very helpful, I was contacted and helped by Gemma. My TV arrived within 24 hours of speaking to her.

The only way to get it escalated is to call Groupon and basically shout at them. They kept telling me the same thing: 'just wait another week' and I finally called up and told them I was fed up with it. I made a big deal about it and amazingly I got a call from the actual company that sells the TVs (cant remember the name) and she told me that they were sending it to me overnight delivery. It did come the very next day before lunchtime so I was happy with that.
I'm still going to call Groupon again and complain about my experience, never buying anything from them again.

I ordered mine on the 9th of may, and it still has not yet arrived.
I tried their live chat to get some help but they told me to wait for another week
Could you please tell me how you managed to chase them up?

Finally got mine a couple of days ago after I managed to find out where they were coming from and in my case it was not emazingdeals. Maybe they were supplying some but not mine.
If anyone is still stuck in limbo waiting for someone at Groupon to sort this out then reply to this post and I will pass you the information I have which may help.

I'm not certain mine was delivered by RPD 2man in the end. It was a rental van, and only a single person delivered it. My complaint is still being processed, apparently, but at least I have the TV, which I'm happy with.

Didn't even bother contacting them after the original order confirmation had the wrong address. I ordered on the 8th and it was delivered 1st attempt the 17th (no warning) and 2nd attempt the 19th, after an email with the courier. Sorry I don't have any advice, other than to not buy anything physical from Groupon!

I'm still waiting and I've been in contact with Groupon at least 4/5 times by now. Yesterday I spoke to someone on the phone to complain about the whole thing. He just kept saying 'it's been escalated bla bla' so I asked to speak to a manager and he told me they were all in a meeting. I told him they better be in a meeting about how to get orders delivered on time!
When did you order your TV?
henn
19 May 16#74
Delivered yesterday, still marked as "Tracking unavailable. Your order is on its way and will be with you shortly" on the Groupon website, so definitely don't rely on them for information!!

I was meant to have my TV delivered on Friday 6th. Contacted Groupon on Monday and they told me that I have to wait another 7 days. So when they say 'seven day delivery' what they really mean is: 'It could be seven days and if not it could be 14 days, who knows? not us anyway'. I'm never buying from Groupon again.
I hope your TV comes today!! I hope mine comes today as well!!
klargon
11 May 16#68
They only rang me to say it was being delivered tomorrow. Didn't say anything else. Then they rang again a couple of hours later and said the exact same thing. I haven't heard directly from RPD-2man, so I guess we'll see what happens tomorrow.
Groupon responded to my complaint to say they'd escalated it and that I should expect a response within 10 days. Went the email route, rather than live chat.

For those wanting to put some pressure on for delivery, and just because it may be useful to know, contact http://emazingdeals.co.uk/ on 0121 3568723. I believe this is the actual supplier of the TV. They contacted me a couple of times today after I complained at length to Groupon about the atrocious courier they're using. When they called me, they (emazing) claimed to be Groupon. Give em a go if you're at a loss.

For piece of mind alone I'd go with richer sounds because it's not in their terms at all. Regardless of John Lewis doing the right thing for some the clause is still present for them to hide behind if they need to.

I ordered it last night around around 11:30PM, after some measurement of my bedroom wall, i decided to cancel the order first thing in the morning today at 8:05AM, I called the customer service and been told that I CAN NOT cancel because they can only cancel the item at the same day, There is no way they can stop the dispatch and i have been told it will be chaos and confusion if I refuse the item upon delivery. I requested to speak to manager, they put me on hold for about 10 mins, then they HANG UP the phone.
so, try it yourself to prove me wrong, Here is the number for customer service: 020 3510 0444
I would say with Groupon, cancelling the order before despatch is kind of impossible, I can imagine it will be only harder if you want to get refund after you receive the item.

I'm in the same situation as you. I ordered a day after you and I've not heard anything nor can it be tracked. Contacted them several times and no help. Not happy with Groupon at all. Still hoping it will come soon though as the TV is nice.

I ordered one on the 27th of April, the tracking does not work on the Groupon website and it still has not yet arrived.
I tried their live chat to try to get some help and the best they can offer was:- [Jonasz P.] What I can do in this case is to escalate this matter to our Resolutions Team to see what can we do about it. It will take no longer than 10 working days. I will keep you updated. Is that okay for you?
It's now outside their proposed 7 working day delivery, no tracking and the resolution team will reply in a further 10 working days. First and last order I ever place with Groupon.

On here at £285.90 delivered never used Ballicom before so could not say if they are good to deal with.
They're using a courier by the name of RPD-2man. It's difficult to describe how absolutely terrible they are. They are unable to provide you with a delivery date and can provide no advance notice. If you're going to be in all day, I don't suppose it matters. Otherwise, it's a good reason to skip on this deal.

Yup, but playing 4k media is still a bit beyond joe average. So may need a UHD blu-ray player. Which aint cheap.
Personally just bought a 55" CX802 from RicherSounds for 1/3rd off the retail price from its release a year ago. Pana have promised a HDR firmware upgrade for it. Bargain Price atm (£800 with VIP discount) for what was the Flagship Telly a year ago.
Jimmyboy
10 May 16#47
That's right although worth noting they will replace the TV with equivalent spec. So the depreciation becomes irrelevant anyway when your £1000 TV spec can now be bought for £500 you'll get the £500 TV to replace it.
I'd still choose Richer Sounds every time though.

It's in the terms for sure, their customer service is generally good but the clause I think is around 20% per year. They will always try to repair or replace. That's why I'd choose Rsounds as its not in their terms of warranty.

Always an option for full refund or use the actual purchase price towards a more expensive set.

No good with out a deceny warranty.
Stick to John Lewis or RSounds who give 5 and 6 year warranties in the price.
£329 is not cheap when it packs up after 2-3 years.

I've had nothing but trouble with Samsung LED TV's Mine, a 40F6500, has issues where the colours momentarily desaturate (now a known issue with these) and Samsung don't want to know. Also had backlights fail just outside Samsung's Warranty, fortunately bought it from John-Lewis so it's been repaired after some to-ing and fro-ing. The UI is a disaster and many of the smart services are being closed as the TV is now two years old and they probably expect me to upgrade. My thoughts, if going for a smart TV, go Android. Also the recordings on an external HDD are encrypted and locked to a secret code inside the TV derived from its serial number so you cant even play them on another Samsung, why? ...just because.
