Just curious, what network are you on? I've still not received the update, my phone was originally on O2, had it unlocked and now using a vodaphone sim - will that make a difference?

You sure its the mm update? I just had a minor update with some battery optimizations (hopefully it will fix the weird bug I'm having where the phone turns off and I lose 30-40% battery)

Great phone (I have one for work).
I would not have it for a personal phone as although it fits into trousers ok it's too big for some jeans pockets.
Also half a gig of data is too little for most people.

I guess for the price though you could get the contract and put your own SIM in it not using the Tesco one.

Hi I bought the phone from ebay. It was unlocked but when I boot up an O2 logo comes on. Im using a 3 network sim. Havent a clue if that makes any difference. Ive searched trying to find reviews in UK for the update but cant seem to find much. I really dont want to install the update incase it is not as good as lollipop.

Just called Tesco Phone Shop. They discontinued this model quite a while ago. They don't have any in stock anywhere that he could tell me. Disappointed in op who couldn't even share where they saw the deal??? What a waste of effort

You can always flash the stock file for the phone, ie one not restricted to a phone sim carrier. So you'll get the update now rather than waiting. It won't void warranty as you're flashing a stock rom. Look into it.

Probably a minor update as others have said. Mine's on 5.1.1 with Android security patch level 2016-03-01

Are you sure it's the MM update and not the April monthly security update?
I have a Note 4 and an S5 (both unlocked) and still waiting for the MM update.
How old is your handset deborahm?
It's just that it baffles me as to what criteria Samsung use to determine when a handset gets updated.
I heard a while back that it's serial number based, so that phones sold earlier get the update sooner?
I always thought unlocked/SIM free handsets got the update first as well.
Anyone else got the official MM update for Note4 or S5?

I've got the MM update for my phone, but it is the N910C international version. The UK versions are N910F and as far as I'm aware the latest updates are an update to 5.1.1. Roll out for MM N910F is imminent though, and if it is anything like the N910C you will be hard pressed to notice any difference to lollipop.
It does seem a little quicker than Lollipop though, and you can totally shut off notifications from apps so the battery life is better.
All in all It's an incremental update and could of just been an update to Lollipop (like Jelly bean and Kitkat were to Ice cream sandwich)

as I said in an earlier post it must just be the security patch as when checked its only 81.5mb and mm is over 1gb. When i saw the update I just thought it was mm lol.

I have half a gig on GiffGaff but struggle to use it. Includes web browsing, whatsapp facebook twitter etc. Mostly everywhere has WiFi now so it's a bit silly to spend substantially more on data when you can always wait till you get home to watch that YouTube video.

Something is a bit iffy here. As others have said, you have a screen pic but say it's in store only and won't give the name of the store you got it. Can't understand why you wouldn't say? I'm not one of the 'where's the proof' brigade but there is nothing to suggest this deal exists thus far. In which case MOD's should just delete.

Tesco Mansfield confirmed the offer but said no stores have them. They did have the HTC one m8 on the same deal but offered 250 extra loyalty mins so picked one up for my dad. Seemed to have a few handsets left.
