True enough. I have both 2.5" and 3.5" drives and both have their places but I wouldn't fancy pulling the power to transfer terabytes of data directly from my motherboard.

Would fit PS4 as well if you loosen couple of screws on bracket what goes round the hard drive on ps4 because although these are 2.5" inch drives they are twice as fat as the current drive in PS4.

I think I read on a thread somehwere that the drives are 15mm(!) thick, so won't fit in a PS4 or laptop. Best to check first before buying.

Yeah but not as compact and portable, and also uses a PSU. Depends how much you care about it being portable but when I had one like that I found it a pain, especially plugging in the PSU when I wanted to use it.
