Guessing it's a glorified electric pressure cooker.
I set mine (an Instant Pot clone) to slow cook which is 58 minutes and when the beeper goes I get amazing tender chicken chunks in a curry sauce that melt in your mouth, I kid ye not.

I have the tower one as well. Best buy I have bought. Stews cooked in under an hour and so tender.

Yes, I thought it was kinda weird. Set it to Slow Cooking and it cooks it in 1hr 10 minutes. That seems damn quick for a SLOW cooker :sunglasses:

Good buy if you're on your own, otherwise it's way too small.
I bought the Tower 5 ltr one: http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00SX7QH0E?psc=1
I live on my own and get 5 meals out of it each time. Eat one and freeze the rest in containers. Easy as pie to use, and even easier to clean.
