Bought one of these last week - returned it after an hour or so.
If you know the Linx 10 - this is pretty much the same tablet. The keyboard dock is less impressive unfortunately. The keys themselves are fine, not too small, however the trackpad is poor, and the plasticky, hollow base makes it uncomfortable to use, particularly on trackpad clicks.

People who make these remarks about resolution wouldn't know how such a laptop make use of screen resolution, and more importantly how a user uses resolution in his work, e.g. letters of an alphabet using Microsoft Office 2013 suit, or firefox browser, period. To put this candidly, he/she is blind in knowledge of resolution and app usage and design optimisation.

In all honesty the performance of the Z3735F & 2gb is fine for light usage. I've got a relatively recent netbook which has an AMD A4-1200 & 4gb, and the Atom trumps it in nearly every respect. The only downside is being restricted to 32bit Win OS.
It's best used for travel. I used the Linx 10 on long haul flights powered by the single USB output you get on the entertainment console. Playing Fallout 3 makes the flight a bit more enjoyable!
However - as a laptop - I just can't recommend this product. If the base was more sturdy, trackpad was refined, and the overall weight distribution was evened out, then it would be a fine laptop - however those all all dealbreakers for me.

This Atom processor, Z3735F, Z3740, Z3745 etc., with 2GB memory sounds like what you need, for the work you describe I use Asus T100TA, for virtually no typing using a virtual keyboard go with one without dock if you don't need keyboard. The person who say this is ***** referred to his expertise, not this laptop. And I use a Dell i5 quadcore Latitude 7240 which cost £400 for more performance for photo editing and virtual machines.

You don't need to be an expert but it does help to know the slightest thing you're talking about.
In all honesty this will perform those duties without any problem. It will struggle with 10bit x265 encoded content but for the vast majority of all other content, even 1080p via the HDMI out it will play it just fine.
The spec of this is fine as long as you're only expecting tablet level duties from it with the added convenience of being able to plug in the full keyboard and trackpad. It is best to have light use in mind for it and it will run like a champion.
As a pure tablet OS I don't like Windows as much as Android, but once you add a keyboard and trackpad as well as the touchscreen it all comes together nicely.

I should also point out to those wanting to watch movies - the screen is a bright LCD, good in natural light - however I'd recommend you use either external speakers or use headphones, as the internal speakers are tinny & poor.

Yes it's a tablet with a keyboard dock. It attaches through two metal hinges and uses magnet as support. It is able to swing back to a regular laptop angle. To get the 'arch' as shown in the photo you literally attach it backwards

Mine arrived today. Looks almost new with a very tiny mark on the lid (less than 1mm - it took me a while to spot it).
As a Windows 8 hater, I've upgraded to Windows 10 and it seems really nippy. Perfect for web browsing, email and word processing. The downside is definitely the storage, with only about 3gb left after the win 10 upgrade. So those who've purchased can expect to pay a bit more for a micro sd card.
Coming from a 5 year old Windows 7 laptop, the boot time is particularly impressive - it literally boots on seconds - and I can see this becoming the main machine for web browsing due to that fact.

Picked mine up from the local PO sorting office and it's basically as new. Upgrade to Windows 10 was no bother. I think it had a lot more space than other 32GB Win8 devices that we've seen on HUD. There's an option in one of Storage settings which allows you to delete previous version of Windows to clear up more space.
Only things I'm not too happy with, is the time it takes to charge up and it would've been nice to use the micro-sd port to charge it rather than separate socket - seems to take ages to charge and have to lug around another charger..
