Yep, for example if you want The Guardian (£2), you can have a free cappuccino (£2.15) making a total of £4.15. So you only need to spend 85p for the weekday free paper offer to kick in.
And, that 85p is the pre-offers price. Say you find something which is 50p buy-1-get-1-free. Buy two for 50p and that would qualify since the pre-offer spend is £1.
