I went in today to get some, the assistant said the offer finished sometime over the weekend.. the peppered steaks were still 1 pound... although I much prefer the escalopes.

God these look just terrible. Soy again. People think land cleared for cattle in south America is a problem have a look at what soya plantations are doing to the amazon rainforest.

"Meat Free Peppered Steaks"
Much the same as what you get in a Brewers Fayre then?

It doesn't say it is meat, it says meat free.

I second that you're an idiot. If you don't eat it stop moaning. So many hang ups in one post. Halal?! Its veggie. It seems you've got the phobia.[/quot
Halal simply means permitted in Islam, therefore technically he is right. Its veggie and halal at the same time ;-)

They should be sued under the trades description act , deceiving people with the word " meat "
when a more proper analogy would be Quorn cardboard fungus !

I think the word you need to concentrate on is the one straight after - Free
I know it might be a bit long for you to comprehend but it means there is no meat in the product.
Unless of course you think all sugar free products should also be sued
