Nope, nope and nope... Boycott half baked game based on other half of the game in DLC revenue model!

Isn't this half the price though of what it was at launch? :smirk:

It's kind of trendy for the hipsters to constantly let us know how 'right on' they are by not letting 'the man' win by not buying this game in nearly every thread when in actual fact it's a brilliant game much like Driveclub and Battlefield 4. If you wanted single player we don't care ,Christ it was nearly 6 months since it released are you really hurting that much !!
What's next to hate on I wonder , I reckon it'll be No Mans Sky.

Nintendo have a long history of completely over-charging for games but even with that in mind you can't compare the capabilities of an offline cartridge to the possibilities of today - most of which were squandered on a cynically thrown together cash cow rushed out to coincide with a rather big film release. I still will eventually get this game when it's finished.

I bought it at launch, the first few hours were like "OMG LOOKS LIKE STAR WARS, PEW PEW WOW LUKE SKYWALKER, DARTH VADERRRRRR FORCE CHOKE!!!". Then I saw how stale it was and of a cashgrab by EA, and sold it to recoup most of my money back. Now with more content it does look more enticing to buy it especially at this price, but the season pass to get a more complete game still puts me off. Big mistake by EA, if they included all the content without a season pass they would be raking in even more money right now.

Or buy said 'half baked' game for £40 and have many hours of fun on it? I was paying more than £40 almost 25 years ago for much smaller SNES games.

You can't arbitrarily state that Nintendo have been 'over -charging' for their games. Many people would say they justify their price by their high quality.

it's amazing how many people say that hate this game, it's a rip off etc etc but take so much of an interest that they constantly post comments on here and facebook etc. graphics wise the game is amazing. yes the single player training missions are not up to much but just yesterday they said more content would be added in that regard. on line the game is amazing. I have spent numerous hours enjoying the different game modes and moving up the ranks. There are not many games of this type which do not sell you further add ons so I just see this as the way things are going. If you don't like it don't buy it. simple. and if you dont own it why do you feel qualified to comment.

100% agree. I got the premium edition from xbox columbia store for £31. I think the game is great and visually stunning. very happy with the price I paid which comes with season pass etc... ive played cod bo3 and thought ot was absolute garbage. this game is much better imo. but it all boils down to opinion.

I was paying the same price for my Megadrive games as well, £40 was the going rate in the early 90's for console games. The fact is games are still only £40 25 years later but people still moan they cost too much. It costs me £40 for a family trip to the cinema nowadays for 2 hours entertainment. A game last much longer than that.

£45 for a glorified SD card though....come on. I'm talking as a happy 3DS owner with games a-plenty.

Love this game - yes, it's online based but what the heck, I get to ride on scout bike and force choke people...
Pay your money or don't, £17 is still a good deal for this game.

A fair bit of free content has been added post launch, although still not sure if Season pass is worthwhile as yet (Bespin as next DLC might be good).
For this price is it still a fun game though, well worth a punt.

Gosh I also remember paying £40 odd for SNES games back in the day. With inflation thats probably around £70 in todays money- crazy! :0

It's nothing to do with hating the game it's about beings shocked how easily people give up their money for nothing! The same thing goes for pre-ordering games as it messes up the whole industry and just encourages other companies to follow EA revenue making model.

Great deal, just ordered. At least at this price if I want to sell it on I won't make a huge loss. Maybe the DLC will be given away in the future....

i see DLC as a necessary evil for the publishers and game developers. think about it, £17 is a great price, but do the people who worked to code it see any of that money? no, because it is a used game. They need to ensure there is some revenue from the thriving 2nd hand game market, especially now each game seems to need a multi-million dollar budget and in this case probably has to pay disney a large image license cheque as well.

£17 and none goes to EA to validate their DLC model? Sounds like a good deal to me!
