£15 for the mega box of Baby Dry nappies and buy 1 get 1 free too.
This deal has only started today and I am sure it will be out of stock online soon!
150 points too! So you could say £13.50 for 208 nappies, 6.5 p per nappy so not bad.

I stocked up around 800 nappies before my first child was born. Folk thought I was mad but they do cost a fortune if you do not get them on a good deal!! Mine were both in size 3 for the longest of all the sizes as there is a big weight range in the size 3 nappies.

I did it with my first daughter as I knew we'd get through loads a statutory maternity pay is little so I hoarded hundreds as well. My mother in law thought I was crazy but they took us well past me going back to work. I've gone for more size 2 and 3 and a few packs of 1.... I have small babies so not gone straight for 3s

Interesting maths, my boy takes 4+ that's 10.41p per unit, reasonable price for a premium nappy but nothing to get too excited about.
The boots own brand active stretch for 4p each a couple of weeks ago, now that was a deal!!!:smirk:

Just FYI, Aldi are doing their own nappies with free delivery for about a fiver for 80ish.
Amazon are slightly cheaper for pampers on subscribe and save.
Must just be size 5's which work out slightly cheaper (the ones I was looking for).

I'm stocking up on nappies for baby number one...No idea about this stuff! How many size 2s and how many size 3s should I buy? I've just ordered 140 size 2s and 400 size 3s from Aldi..
andrewmp to ScampiLamp
20 Apr 161#22
You'll go through them ok, I think you've done the right thing not buying too many size 2s. They don't usually outgrow them too fast, but they're not very absorbent imo. They're in 3s for a good while so you'd be safe to buy more 3s if it's a good deal.

you should try the boots own brand size 1 nappies.my baby is 1 month old & at first i was using pampers and then moved onto the boots nappies and found them to be so much better.the last few days i have been using pampers again (had a couple of packs left) & i seem to be changing my baby's nappy more often! the boots nappies are currently on 3 for 2 offer so i've just stocked up on them..well worth it

It depends on your baby's size. I bought at least 4 boxes size 1 when I expected my first and needed to give away 2 boxes of it because both of my babies were nearly 4 kg each. So if I were you i would stock size 3 as it is ok till 9kg which is like 7-8 months baby's weight and also size 3 is ok from 4-5 kgs (im not too sure about this)
But go for size 3!

20 Apr 16#23
Thankyou! Should I order more size 3s then? I haven't bought any size 1s...I read somewhere that a small pack only is best for size 1s?
andrewmp
20 Apr 16#24
Yeah, I'd say order more. 400 is about 2 months supply, he/she will probably be in size 3 until about a year.
The new baby nappies are really crap at absorbing stuff, I think it's because you change them every 5 seconds at that age so it doesn't matter. If you want them to sleep through the night, make sure they're in a proper nappy not a new baby one.

Definitely go for mostly size 3s my daughters were in them around age 4-6mths and stayed in them till about 12 months. much prefered the slightly larger size for a bit of wriggle room where you can adjust rather than being too tight!

Same here, my daughter was in size 4 at 5mths and I'm thinking she'll be moving into size 5 at around 8mths. It all depends on the size and shape of your baby.

Your babies and mine are fortunate to have bottoms strong enough to take mid priced nappies! Practically every other poor little bottom in the country seems to contract excema and instantly fall off if not clensed by water wipes, slathered in Aveeno and clad in pampers at each change! Poor little things.
The next generation will need memory foam toilet seats at this rate! :stuck_out_tongue:

Same here. We went on holiday when we first bought it and every night my 5 month old boy was soaked and needed to change his nappy at least 3times per night. I have just thrown away the whole package after the second night and kept buying the local one which was far more better than Aldi's nappy.
