they'll have been sous vide, which makes them a pleasure to give a crust too & melt in your mouth texture, ...watch out folk its really dense meat so FILLING ..don't get confused over the size & think it is a bit stingey.

HEAT!
Healthy and yum.. just grill them or pan fry [no oil] very slowly to get the best out of them!

I wouldn't cook these slowly. They have very very little fat. Cooking slowly will dry and toughen the meat

The horses have been fed primarily on ostrich meat so it works out ok.

Like this when cooked in restaurants. Tried the iceland frozen ones and thought tuff. I think you need to be careful and not over cook it. May be thats what I did.

Are these already cooked, and are they formed pieces of meat?

The ostrich used to make the horse feed have only been eating lentils and tofu, so this product is suitable for vegans.

Not really 'healthy' - just less unhealthy than most meat with more fat.
Can be great if cooked properly.

These are steaks and frozen. Very lean and low fat, so they are healthy and very tasty like good steak but a different taste. They could be a bit dry if you don't use oil to fry them.

Thanks. Had these in Edinburgh Craigmillar store. Also picked up kangaroo steaks for 1.99 too. Had a good few left so even at this price they're a bit slow out of the freezer.

Better than chicken?

I would say yeah but maybe that's coz I have chicken all the time and it's nice to try something different, but tbh it's a completely different taste to chicken, it's better to compare it with duck
