Have got mine for about 2 weeks now, installed the LP and merged the partitions.very impressed with this phone so far, snappy, everything just work and feels quite 'premium'. Battery isn't bad as well, I get about 3.5h screen time and all day on 1 charge. The charger is brilliant, it's really quick and 75% in 30min is not exaggeration.
It is hard plastic like the Nillkin but covers the top and bottom bezels as well. Also makes the bottom buttons more visible.

They both have it. Ive installed v2.5.1 and the option is under 'more' in settings.

I seen it but didn't bother after reading all the comments saying its really buggy on the Oppo forum

OK this is where I went wrong, the unified storage is only available on project spectrum I first downloaded coloros v2.5.1 which does not have this option. did a factory reset and installed spectrum and all is fine now apart from the camera app which is a bit ropey. the camera takes a bit of time to focus.

They come with what looks like a protective cover with a graphic on, once peeled off there is a screen protector already applied. Mine is still going strong 14 months on. Don't forget it is Gorilla Glass 3.

Have you applied the OTA updates and then downloaded the latest version of Color OS 2.1.5i? There is the option in this version. Applied it to mine last night. The link to the download is in this thread.

No, i dont have this option on my phone to unify the storage?? I have 2 storage setting options 'Erase phone storage' and 'Preferred install location' at the bottom. there is no option to switch partition.
ianbeany
27 Apr 16#90
Cheers. Can you clearly see there is one on? I've had a good close look at mine but cant see it. Im not sure if Im just a bit blind/daft or I dont have one.
ianbeany
27 Apr 16#89
Nope. Did you not see the option to 'switch partition'? (2nd from top). You need to switch it to UNIFIED
fmiah
27 Apr 16#88
when I go to storage settings it asks for preferred location and it was set to 'depends on system's and I switched to 'phone'. is this what you mean? it didn't erase anything though.

I got mine today and updated it to the version below, it was quite straightforward.
The only thing I cannot find is the way of setting your monthly data allowance limit and the reset date (every month) it's normally under the mobile network - more settings ?
It is out of stock in EU store but available on international store. If I order it from international store, will I have to pay any tax or duties on it?

Paid 249 euros for the find 7a last July and i was gutted when i lost it a few months ago.
Didn't hesitate in paying £91 for it again, even if i don't get the the nifty case this time around.
Even had to reset my paypal password in work on my phone to make sure i got his again.
Still have both charger for my old too. The heat on this should be through the roof for the spec you get.

21 Apr 161#28
Tx. The review I saw was actually referring to the 7A which has only 1080p screen so I can imagine the 7 with qHD to be worse. Fast charger is a good and probably necessary inclusion.
The new Xiaomi phones with 5.5" screens seem to have good battery life. I think it's to do with the SDragon 650 and the much larger 4000mah capacity.

Seem like a good phone but I've heard it runs down the battery very quickly.
Did they fix that?
simont_space to hotman
21 Apr 16#27
Mine lasts all day. I don't play games, but use Chrome, Twitter, etc. It's the screen that runs the battery down, it's 2k and big. Until battery technology catches up drain for such screens will continue. It has fast charging to compensate.

21 Apr 16#20
Left backlight button stop lighting up seems to be a issue with the early batch off storms, came back from repair now my sim card doesn't get a signal, so i try the wives sim card the same thing check all settings on the phone and also the apn settings no luck so phone wileyfox they didn't know what the issue was and that they give me a call back within 3 days they didn't call, so i phone back up, they had no record off me phoning up before and now have fob me off another 3 days if it's getting repair or replace or try any other settings to get it to work. The phone is great when it works, haven't been able to use the storm for a month now so thought i try cyanogen on the oppo better spec aswell.

CyanogenMod is not an option. They changed the panel used in manufacturing, so only ROMs based off of AOSP (like OmniROM) are compatible with this new variant.
