Not that cheap when you add the HKG - KUL sector even on budget airlines. Plus the hassle of changing planes in Istanbul. Would rather pay a little more and go direct , Cathay quite often have HK sub £500.

Normal price from Hong Kong - Kuala Lumpur is around £40.... Im travelling around so not really bothered but less then £400 return flights is a steal for me!

£40 for HKG-KUL is a bit optimistic especially if you've hold luggage...

Can you spend nearly 2 weeks in HKG? Not knocking the deal, HKG flights have been £330 lately and KUL have been £360 but £40 is very cheap HKG-KUL.. I recently flew KUL-HKG with AA and the flight was almost full.. With AA booking fee and baggage charges and using my Halifax Clarity reward card it was nearer £60 than £40..

Are you really quibbling over less than £20?
If so then don't take hold luggage. In in KL now about to come back after a month in the region and survived perfectly well with cabin baggage only.

What are Open Jaw Flights? Is this like special discount category that the reseller use to market last minute flights or something?

It's when either the airport you fly from or two aren't the same in both directions.
