Just a heads up to all Students (And I have a feeling there are quite a few on HUKD now..) that EVERY day this week from Monday 18/04/16 until Sunday 24/04/16 your NUS Extra Card will get you a whopping 40% off your total Food and Drinks bill at Pizza Express.
This discount only normally applies on a Monday or Tuesday so to have it valid all week and especially on Friday / Saturday is a huge bonus I think youll agree.
Please vote Hot if you find this useful!
Enjoy, and go eat some pizza!
Don't forget, get an EXTRA 15% off of your final bill if you use a discounted gift card. http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/15-off-gift-cards-itunes-pizza-express-facebook-tesco-2431875

Could someone advise me please, I got an NHS cardo last year when the original post came out. I managed to get student prime, but without a uni email I can't sign up to unidays or student beans and I find that this is what most companies use online for you to get you discount. Has anyone managed to get around this?I'd be so grateful of some help x

is this serious question? if so and like me you eat Halal Meat only......I suggest you ask the branch of pizza express you go to, if their meat is Halal. if not like me, choose vegetarian options and you're good to go.

I wonder how many people on this thread are actually real full time students? I would love to have an award for the most implausible "student" trying to claim 40% off in Pizza Express. I am 55 so I get some weird looks but I look like a professor so no one ever says anything. I don't try to get 10% off in Co-op though as it just seems a little disingenuous.

Surely no one ACTUALLY pays full price at Pizza Express?
I thought like Halfords bikes and tools; they'd doubled the 'rrp' so they could offer half price and two for one deals all the time.
Might be able to pay off the student loan now :stuck_out_tongue:

Was in London once, and was invited out to lunch with everyone, i was told of this fantastic little italian restaurant that one of the girls couldn't remember the name of, sounded good though so off we went and passed a few nice look italians and as we turned the corner HERE IT IS! ask italian. So i imagine a nice wee pizza place would be pizza express to londoners

Very true, the drinks are horrendously overpriced, even at 40% off they are too expensive for a pizza and pasta restaurant. Luckily it's not normally an issue for me as I just have tap water. I don't normally drink Coke, OJ or beer when I'm eating a meal at home so just do the same when I'm eating out on the cheap.
Dealonomics
19 Apr 16#40
It's the drinks that are hideously expensive. Half a litre of Peroni for £6.50 I believe, so even with 40% off it only comes down to what it should be.

Absolutely it's overpriced - but who goes there without first finding one of their offers online? 2 for 1. 25% off food or whatever. Then it becomes an OK price.

Even at 40% off, it's still over priced. Added heat anyway as I know some people do like PizzaExpress (for some reason).

At normal prices, yes, but they always have offers - O2 priority, vouchercloud, NUS card, Tastecard plus you can pay with discounted giftcards with any of the offers making it very cheap IMO.
I ate out with my partner on Sunday at Pizza express, had 2 of the large style thin crust pizzas + 2x cheesy dough balls. Total I paid was £13.76. 2 courses for less than £7pp is a bargain in my eyes. We used taste card (which I got a 3 month trail for £1) and 20% off giftcards to get that price. However I would never pay full price for pizza express.
jambone
19 Apr 161#37
Anyone with a taste card can get 2 for 1 on mains and starters. However no discount on drinks. As my partner and I usually only drink water, this works out perfectly for us. Use this with a pizza express gift card promo and it usually works out that I'm saving 60% ish on the bill.

The NUS site is giving conflicting info:
Banner message states 40% off all week: Goodbye winter, hooray spring - we’ve introduced some new dishes and with a whopping 40% off food and drink ALL WEEK especially for NUS extra cardholders, it would be wrong not to try!
But Terms and Conditions state 40% is only Monday and Tuesday: 1. Your NUS extra card gives you to a 40% discount on your food and drink bill at PizzaExpress every Monday and Tuesday, and 20% discount on your food and drink bill every Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday. The NUS extra discount in not valid on Friday or Saturday, but Bank Holiday Mondays are included.
