my nus card expires 20th april 2017. I'm going to renew it. I mainly use it at a local takeaway 15% off and co-op supermarket 10% off. For co-op they scan the card. occasional other retail shops too discount.

What's the score with nus card now? I have had mine for few years never used it last year but got another today.in past all I did was go on to nus site got code and then on Amazon site and worked.
But I'm reading now about Amazon student do you need to be part of this for it to work now?
Also in past you could use the 5% discount right away before getting your card as code to use was on site when logged in.
But why is it not working?

Also what are the benefits of have Amazon student if you already have nus card even more % off?

Very confused about it all before nus card was all I needed and my main reason was for Amazon like before but will use it on other site etc too this time.

They seem to have extended the discount as I've been gettiong money off loads of stuff.

So how do you use Amazon these days with this card seems to be changed last time I used it with them I went on nus site got a code and added it to my basket and took discount off, does not seem to be the way now?

Im also sure last time i used this just log into it got code for amazon and entered it into amazon checkout has it all changed? Do you now need to show them a scan now?

Try it, go through the process and if it takes you to the last page to pay and says it'll charge you for postage then you're on the right track :smile:

Got the 3 years option after signing up for online course.

Still works. Need to be within 28 days of expiry from previous card. I use Sussex University and got it sent to my home address. I'm using hotmail account for it.

Its only showing a 12 month option for me!
Im using a normal email address rather than a.. DotAC address.

Just got my new number through. It shows up in the track your order info.

I renewed a Endsleigh one but changed my Uni to "learning at home". It asked for my unique [email protected] student number and I simply entered my DOB and it accepted it. I just purchased a 3 year one with delivery to my house.

Mine arrived this week, no mention of sending it to the Shaw Academy. I was renewing an Ensleigh card though and not a new one. New one is valid for three years now

I renewed mine but used a £1 course from the Shaw Academy advertised on here. Got a three year card although the isic part only lasts a year...

I noticed this just as I was about to renew mine. Had two so far, thought it looked a bit too good to be true when they let you edit your study dates to add a couple more years on...

Just done the same... then noticed delivery address after paying!!

Only way round this i think is to use the app and just say you lost the card - on the app it shows my expiry date as July 2017 now ... card will be in ensleigh me thinks.

Cool, what I did was type in the Shaw academy and when it asked for my student number (which I couldn't find anywhere) I just put N/A in the box. Ordered the nus card and they accepted, will be with me within 7 days. Also while waiting I can now use the nus website to log in and take advantage of certain discounts.

Hmmm - my NUS card runs out in July, hopefully I can get this Extra card for 12 months or longer, and guess I need Extra in order to obtain discounts.

Anyone know how to get a school email with @ac.uk as well ??

Got a £1.99 Shaw academy course, printed off the welcome/confirmation email once registered on course, took a photo of it and uploaded it when registering on Studentbeans.

How do you join SB? You need a proper ac.uk address, acceptance letter or an academic transcript? They don't allow NUS.

you dont have to be a uni student. if you know anyone in secondary school or college aswell , just borrow their email. it has to be an ac. email

pick your local uni....just pick a course from the drop down menu when signing up. you pay £1 to get the card sent to your home address and not the uni

You can share the delivery benefits of normal prime with 4 other 'family members' although they don't actually have to be family.
Also they have recently introduced 'household' where you can also share some other benefits with a household member.

Don't know about student prime though
