Why would anyone phone them it's obviously a misprice but why let them know is beyond me :confused:

If it was me that found a blatant misprice I certainly wouldn't advertise it on here.. and I'm a founder member. 99.9% chance that you get some c**k ruin things and make a phone call to alert the retailer... however keep it to yourself and there's more chance of them honouring a couple of orders, rather than someone ordering 230,000 tyres at £10 a pop... Give me strength!!

Don't be a dick and leave reviews about this. Remember it's somebody's business. How would you like it if you run a business, made a mistake, and had your reputation blasted because someone on the internet didn't get a cheap item that they knew was a misplace at the start.

On one side using PayPal will mean getting your money back quicker. On the down side as its a push payment you lose any benefit (usually pretty low now days) of forming a contract.

I just use a credit card. So it will get taken out and then refunded well before I have to pay my bill. :smiley:

Given it a punt. I went for fully fitted option, then when choosing a garage, it stated £13 odd per tyre in the listing. Is that the case, or will the price I paid be the only cost?

You know what's the worst part of this? Now my screen is full of advertisements from Mytyres.co.uk because of my search history and cookies.....

We all knew this was a price glitch and we all knew that orders weren't likely to be honoured. An online sale is binding when the item has been dispatched. If you received a dispatch notification then you've got a case (potentially), if not then move on to the next glitch.

Regarding payment, the funds would have been ring-fenced on your account as soon as you placed the order and therefore, your available balance would have been adjusted accordingly. You'll probably see a formal debit transaction appear tomorrow or over the weekend. The refund will take another 2-3 working days. This is the norm with any retailer.

If you couldn't afford to have £70 or £140 debited from your account for a week, then you should be questioning whether you should have gone ahead with the purchase in the first place.

Now, where's my lawyer, I need to show him my cancellation email.

Had one refund at 8.45pm last night (working late?) and another at 8.23am today.
So, no chasing!

Bought 4 tyres at a total (invoice) cost of £169 or there abouts - there's a pending transaction on my credit card for £513 - my order has not yet been cancelled - what should I do? :confused:

Ring your credit card company to make sure they don't pay more than the £169.Ask them where you stand as the agreed price was £169 and you don't want to be debited more than that

Be careful folks....ordered 4 tyres yesterday, had an invoice for £125.75. This morning get a further email with a delivery confirmation and a revised invoice amount of £242.44. Phoned them up immediately and told them that it's not acceptable to revise the invoice price without even contacting me! Told them to cancel. Worth a try but a word of warning to anyone still awaiting a cancellation email to check you don't get stung.

I'd let them deliver - it's not up to you to check what they have charged you. When they arrive you hold the cards as they'd have to pay for return postage. Might be able to haggle a decent deal.

I think it would be good to unsubscribe from their marketing emails also. It's clear they've done this to increase exposure and harvest marketing details (talk about backwards in going forwards).

They sent me an email confirmation with the discounted amount, today they took the full amount from my bank account without me authorising it!! I'm taking this up with my bank. If they cancelled it fairdos but now they just stealing!! As long as you have the email confirmation with the lesser amount the bank will get the money back from the company!

I did ring the company and they have agreed to refund the money, but my problem is how are they allowed to even take that much more from your card,!!

Original invoice was £169, they then charged £513 upon dispatch - I queried it with my card provider, then phoned MyTyres and they've refunded the difference. So £169 for 4 Goodyear Eagle F1 19 inch tyres can't be bad even if it did come with a little bit of hassle. :smiley:

Had to make 3 phone calls yesterday to sort out the increased amount. 2 advisors didn't call me back. Finally cancelled but wouldn't honour the original price. Won't be using again just because of the poor service.

Phoned my bank yesterday morning and they noted what has happened. Said they will chase it if it's actually debits my account, but it was just pending yesterday.
Phoned mytyres after and tried my best to haggle for the original price but no joy. So order now cancelled.

Not overly bothered as didn't really think I could get away with buying tyres for £20 each ! Just a shame they didn't honour their balls up .

My order was £112 for 4 tyres. I made the order but I never received an order conformation email... So presumed the website had an error or my order was cancelled...

I've now noticed, They have charged me £342 onto my credit card. I have contacted them and they have apologised and said because of the error they will honour the original price I paid of £112 and the refund will take 24 hours.

However I'm now in the situation if I accept them I could never actually see my refund and if I refuse delivery I will miss out and also have to go through the whole process of getting a full refund.

You are not in any situation, if you have it in writing then try sort it out with them if they don't accept show the proof to your credit card company via making a claim.

Thanks, I got my refund of £200ish this morning. I can now accept delivery of my 4 tyres on Monday!

Well, I got an order confirmation today charging me the full price. Phoned up and they offered to refund the difference, or collect the tyres for free (they don't arrive until next week).

Full price: £513.20
Original order price: £169.60
Refund: Ouch!

That took a while to get an order confirmation?
Have you had an invoice before of them over the tyres or is this the 1st one? Seems a long time ago now ?

I got an email "We confirm receipt of your order" with all the order details on the day ordered, then nothing until today when I got an email with "Invoice and order confirmation" saying the tyres had been sent out, expected delivery 26th.

Prices changed to full price so I rang them up.

Oh that's still bad service being at least week & half !
What you agreed to do ? Buy at original reduced price or send them back ?

I bought them at the reduced price, just need to check refund.

Got my refund eventually after I cancelled my order.

After lots of private messages to and froe on facebook, i got my 2 bridgestones at the orig. Price less than £80 for 2 bridgestones fitted
