Been contemplating this smart watch for a while and although I have not committed yet this appears to be the best price around.
Made for sport and built to last.
Push yourself to the limit without worrying about your watch. The Motorola Moto 360 Sport is made to keep up with even your most challenging workouts thanks to a durable yet comfortable design. The strong silicone construction doesn’t absorb sweat and resists fading or staining, while side ventilation channels help you stay cool.
Screens can be tough to read when you’re outside, but don’t fear as it’s Motorola AnyLight is the world’s first hybrid display that lets you see things clearly both indoors and out. Indoors, it works like any beautiful LCD screen. Step outside and it reflects natural sunlight, making the screen easy to read - and not washed out like on some Smartwatches.
The perfect fitness coach.
The Moto 360 Sport Smartwatch works seamlessly with Android™ fitness apps including MapMyRun, Under Armour Record, and Strava. Moto Body records your workout data and syncs directly with these apps, so your workout history is always up to date. Unfortunately the Moto 360 Sport is not compatible with iPhone.
The Moto 360 Sport has built-in GPS that works seamlessly with Moto Body to measure your performance so you can track your distance travelled, pace, lap times, and more. There’s no need to carry your phone to know exactly how you’re doing.
Continuously track your heart rate during a run to monitor your performance. See your beats per minute with just a simple glance at your wrist. And with Moto Body, measure the time you spend in different heart rate zones to make sure you’re achieving your fitness goals (all activity measurements and calculations are estimates. Accuracy is affected by various factors including physiology, location of device, and different movements).
Wear it for life.
The Moto 360 Sport isn’t just a fitness tool, it gives you the power of Android Wear™ so you can keep up with your entire life, not just your workout. You can download apps from Google Play™ that you’ll use all the time. For example, lock your front door with Kevo, then go for a run and leave your keys at home. Or get some shopping done on Amazon right from your wrist. Travel much? Scan your flight’s boarding pass without reaching for your phone. Even start your Ford electric car with one simple tap on the watch.
You can read Gmail messages and calendar invites with just a glance of your wrist, quickly reply to friends on WhatsApp, glimpse up-to-the-minute traffic and weather reports, see the newest Facebook posts or the latest sports scores.
You can even sync your favourite playlists and podcasts from Google Play™ Music with your Moto 360 Sport. So you listen to music on your run or at the gym without taking your phone along for the ride. All you need is a pair of Bluetooth® headphones (sold separately).

If you are using it for sports, possibly. My Swr50 fell off whilst cycling to be lost forever because of a rubbish strap design. Aside from the strap and my grievance, the swr50 is pretty much perfect, and I am yet to see a compelling reason to spend more on a watch for any meaningful features.

Genuine question, but is this really worth the £60 over the Sony Smartwatch 3?

Yea, power-laces! Shoes ruined forever. Or perhaps sheep gut condoms and crocodile poo were better? Damn you scientists!!

I had one of these but sold it on. Turns out GPS in a watch is really no big deal. Getting music onto the watch and pairing headphones is a faff. It's just much easier to take your phone with you.

I'm reliably informed that you have to buy new condoms every time, although perhaps not every day.

The S2 3G has the GPS chip which has yet to be released in the UK, the standard S2 is dependent on your phones chip.

I went from the Surge to the S2 and although a great piece of kit I missed the stand alone GPS and 24 hour heart monitoring. It really depends what you are looking for, the upcoming Garmin vivoactive HR ticks a lot of boxes for me.

I would go for the one that has buit in GPS, can usefully function without a nearby smartphone and is not bug ugly; narrows it down a bit I think

It's problem is still the flat tyre - you can get used to it but put it next to any "full screen" round smart watch and it becomes very obvious. If you only use a digital watch face it's not so bad, but it does make any analogue style faces look silly.
It's still probably one of the best at this price, but it's no urbane or huawei (they are both more expensive mind  )

Is the battery really only 1 day of moderate use ?
I keep looking to Android Wear watches app the app support is better, but battery life puts me off.

I have a Samsung Gear S2 will has a full round display, i actually find it annoying the text gets truncated at the bottom and find little value aside from the look to a full round screen.
I guess maybe for some ma type apps and stuff, then yes this would be irratating.

I've noticed that Barclays app was made for flat tyre watch grrrr. I just can't ignore that each time I open it. I don't think that nice elegant watch face would look on 360 as good as on my LG Urbane.

Still flat tyre design?

Unfortunately yes but I do find it slightly more acceptable on a sports orientated design.

Flat tyre really isn't that bad. I've owned a moto 360 v1 for over a year now and I barely ever noticed it after a week.
I did not think 4 negative out of 4500 was bad, after reading them certainly would not stop me buying.

Scientists ruined the phone, now they've ruined the watch. What next needs ruining? I reckon shoes, always worked fine, no problem we can break that for you, now they do a lot more but you need to buy a new pair every day. We're working on condoms next.

Heston Blumenthal is doing a good job on food (baklava sausage rolls leap to mind). I'm sure other leaps will be forthcoming, and like Spectre entirely unnecessary..
