Really great price and ideal for vegetarians :) also this price online so a national price. I saw these in the Leigh store though and they had a 'Reduced to Clear' sign on em so could very well be getting rid of these, so worth stocking up. Morrisons did the same thing with a vegetarian chilli they did, put it at a low price then never seen again.

Nearly everyone loves the flavour. It's good for you. If you add more "strong" flavours such as garlic, you can cut down on the salt content, which is important. This product is already over 2g of salt per tin, which is half of the full day's recommended intake for an adult.

Some of Morrisons veggie products are very nice but these are yuk. Sausages tasteless and beans far too sweet. Avoid.

I've tried these being vegetarian and they are amongst the most vile products I've ever consumed. Most veggie products in supermarkets are of a good standard these days but this one is horrific.

I wouldn't touch honey with a barge poll you've no idea where it's come from, all the keepers can do is dump bee hives near flowers and hope they go over their for their sugar fix and not fly over the horizon to the local rubbish dump thats full of vats of expired HFCS fron the local bakery factory, or worse as they will gather anti freeze. Plus honey must be pretty high in pesticides.
I'll stick to golden syrup and maple on occasion over bee spit and sugars from random sources unknown.

My boyfriend is very odd about things like garlic, pepper, onion etc
He doesn't even use butter or black pepper, he eats plan bread and naked potatoes, wont touch things like garlic, chilli etc.
But then he buys ready made things that are full of it, these spicy chicken fillets and the like where the ingredients are are chicken, breadcrumb, garlic, onion, chilli, paprika etc, he buys Lancashire sausages that are full of garlic I think it is or onion. If it said garlic or onion etc on the front of the box tho he wouldn't touch it, he never reads ingredients lists and still buys them even tho I point out they smell/ taste very strongly of "add vegetable or spice here" but then continues to turn his nose up at the real thing and behave around them as if that black peper I just sprinkled on my chips was crushed beetles.
I reckon theres alot of people like him who go garlic gross and then enjoy buying ready meals that reek of it.

It's also a good deal for those who enjoy garlic, though the flavour would be very subtle anyway, in this type of food.

Many people do not notice the garlic. For those people, the price appears a very good deal. Garlic oil appears to be in many products. I read all the labels. Sometimes Heinz tomato sauce states garlic and sometimes it does not.
I notice these odd things. Quorn sausages have garlic. Linda McCartney ones do not. Some people can just smell it!

Yup which is horrible and I never realised the allergy existed until I read that article. Really usual to be aware of and thanks for the info.
Not in any way interested in a huge long running argument on the issue of garlic oil as life is way too short. Final thing I'd say on this is if I can acknowledge you're right that it's awful they don't have to label garlic can you admit there are far worse things for you which could be added to veggie sausages and beans?
