Cleaning performance ratings are as accurate as car emissions figures.

Apart from Volkswagen group I would of thought they were pretty accurate unlike the mpg figures. Also aren't the performance ratings actually pretty accurate with only the atrocious Which consumer group complaining because it doesn't match their hopeless poorly designed tests. I mean isn't it Miele themselves that measure how much is picked up and by the average result of particles picked up create their own rating. Is there a single vacuum cleaner manufacturer complaining about this rating system? Also I think there is no requirement to test when a bag is half full or getting near full when suction is much reduced so it unfairly favours bagged cleaners as cyclonic cleaners can be emptied at any time and don't suffer suction loss as the canister fills.

I bought this one from (link) Marks Electrical in January. Whopping £13 cheaper and absolutely perfect customer service. The delivery driver (Marks's own, not some courier) came bang on promised time which is important to me as I work night shift and plan my sleep to be awake at expected delivery time. Same 2 years manufacturer's warranty.
We use one at home & I have to say, these well & truly suck. As in they are the best suckers I have used EVER. And thats a good thing because they are meant to suck the dirt away!

As per the rating these will be pretty poor for carpet, there is no powered beat bar/brush and its only 800W. Then the expense of bags over its lifetime.
