Costco have reduced their blank CD-R and DVD-R blank discs to £5.96 for 100 pack, sold in 4 x 25 packs. Maybe the digital revolution will mean these discs are only nice as coasters nowadays, but some people still like physical copies to play in the car and at home.
This deal is national in all UK warehouses, check stock levels before you visit.
Item number is 903691 for DVD and 904551 for CD.
Good luck!

Been making back ups of my mp3 music collection for years on dvds, as well as data........ Used good quality discs and never been let down yet, just look after them properly

lifespan of data on writeable dvd is 5 to 10 years. still longer than hard disks. you always get exceptions though. I had one 250gb disk that lasted about 15 years but then again it was a single platter so less to go wrong

Other than their large cakes and Birthday cakes, this is one of the rare times I have seen Costco sell something for less than the major supermarkets. I am amazed at the people who pile their trolleys high at Costco when it would have been cheaper for them to buy everything at Tesco.
Providing you have a card or know someone with a membership card , these DVD-R are a bargain at this price.

lots of data I've saved to DVD-r (decent quality brand ones mind) no longer reads - ranging from 5-15 years ago. Don't rely on DVD-r, back up also to NAS (eg Synology) and the Cloud

DVDs are and still will be very useful. I assume people actually do make back up copies of all the digital music they buy, don't they?

That's what the cloud is for... Crashplan, Backblaze, etc...
SILLY OP, your deal would be 1,000,000 regression if only you put 5.96p each. 6p on HUKD is way to pricey for most of these people. Don't worry somebody else will post now at 5.96p each and it will serve you right.

I wish Costco would open an outlet in or near to Telford.
