This is damn confusing, so much so that I've had to sit down with a Magnum to contemplate it.

It is actually 2 Litres squashed into a One Litre tub somehow so technically it is only 1 Litre but I can vouch there is 2 Litres so there is no confusion that is 100% free and not 50% free

Confusion?!

Surely it's impossible to squeeze two litres of liquid into a 1 litre space? The 1 litre Mackies tubs are round while the 2 litre ones are bigger and rectangular.

It is definitely not liquid because they keep it well chilled in the freezer so your argument is 100% against the laws of physics or at least 50% wrong - or right but the other 50% is free anyway so that is 100% clear I am certainly sure. I think or at least 50% definite.

I can vouch it's a 2 litre tub! Whilst the 1 litre round tub does look large in comparison but when side by side......

So I hope that is 100% clear. I am 50% sure that I am definitely certain and you cant argue with that. I think.

Liquid, solid, gas doesn't matter: volume is volume.

Less air in it or something so equivalent of 2l of mix compared to normal?
It's very confusing tbh!

Yes but then everybody knows you can get more in a round tub than a rectangular tub which is why they use the round one litre tubs to give you 100% free because you could not fit that much free Ice cream in the rectangular 2 litre tubs. The 2 litre tubs can only hold at most 50% free.

Well that may be 100% true but did you try the same experiment with the one litre tub which is exactly the point I am making. Please try it with 50% of water (or Ice Cream would be more realistic if you have some) then re test with 100% and then remove 50% (to represent the free Ice cream) and let me know the results. I think you will find my calculations are 100% correct.

Why are 50% of you confused, it is quite simply 100% clear to me.

I will try and explain it here. You get the 2 litre of Ice Cream (100% free) from the 2 Litre tub and remove 50% which is still 100% free making 150% which is actually 3 litres. Then squash just 2 Litres somehow into the one litre tub (it must be the round shaped tubs and not the rectangular tubs as explained earlier). That leaves 100% of the 150% still in the original tub. Then remove 50% from the round tub and put it in the 2 litre rectangular tub. That calculates to 100% free which is what I was trying to explain. You cant argue with simple physics.
Yes that is my point, it is a one litre tub (round not rectangular like the 2 litre tubs which look slightly bigger side by side) with 2 litres squashed in somehow (see escortboys explanation above on how they do this ) and they give you 100% free which calculates to exactly 2 litres, which is an absolutely 100% bargain and cheap at half the price which is 50%.

Not really as good an offer because non of your 2 Litres are free like the original offer which is £3 for 2 Litres but it includes 100% free which has got to be a better offer. It actually works out less per litre if you do the maths because you get more for your money when some of it is free where as you are paying for all of your Ice cream. I think they are trying to trick you with some clever marketing but I am too smart for that.
