And exactly how would a cat owner keep a cat in their own garden, what a stupid comment. My wife has 4 cats and they carp in our garden, i hate them. I might get one of these to make them carp in the local fields.

No, there's a setting for dogs just make sure it's on the setting for cats.

Cat people
It's only triggered when some thing walks by it within 8 meters. It doesn't work through walls etc. So next door cats have no problems sitting on my fence a few meters from it but when they get down IN my garden and walk within its approx 120deg horizontal radius they trigger it. I don't see how you can get more humane and it certainly doesn't affect them in their garden or house. Cat and dog poop is a health hazard.

I got this exact one branded differently from Amazon a couple of weeks ago only £3 more. I've just moved, next door has at least 2 cats and there was 3 piles of cat beep on the little crockery patch out back. One huge pile and 2 smaller but not small which they moved onto when I think the original pile got too rank even for them. It caused me to dry heave when clearing it up.
It was delivered on the 20th of March and they still haven't used it as a toilet again. Didn't take long to charge, easy to install and has other options if in the future you have a problem with foxes or dogs.
You can get sprays and stuff but it doesn't last and after moving t'up north it always seems to be raining. I got some spray to apply to my fence and they use it to scratch. Applied liberally with a paint brush seems to work, spray isn't enough.
Annoying though that I've forked out about £20 for other people's pets beeping in my garden.

Exactly. Why should others have to pay for inconsiderate cat owners. Cats are vermin and should be treated as such.

But in summary for anyone else - answer is unlikely to work on foxes

these things cause migraines, and IMHO should be banned... they also cover too larga an area and cause distress to cats in their owners houses, while I feel for everyone who has the cat poop issues (I do, and I know its not my cat as she's an indoor cat).. but please do not use these things...

LMAO. So these are so good that they can detect a moving cat in the neighbours house, Gotta get me some more of these .
If its a toss up between my son happily playing in my own garden or giving the cat free will to $#it in my garden then I'm happy for the cats owner to suffer with migraine .

If the owners kept the cats on their own property, then the neighbors wouldn't need repellants - Simple really.

These sort of small non named electronic things are usually of poor quality and don't last long.
On the other hand, you can always take it back if you buy from Lidl.
Yeah I've tried that waste of time and money, the only thing that seems to work is the wire fence/trellis as the cats can't climb, jump or crawl through it unless they are small kittens, had mine up about 5years, best solution for me!

Thanks. Sounds like its going to have to be the gun then!!!!
It has an adjustable frequency which supposedly can work on large dogs and foxes but I doubt it really works well with a cunning fox. Usually only electric fences work with them.
I had my back door open once and a fox walked in and right up to us.

Hi
Does anyone know if this would work near a pond to keep the blooming herons away??
Quite happy with pooping cats - but fed up with herons nicking my goldfish.

3 Apr 16#28
Herons are very persistent and will keep trying so even if it did it would only work once or twice but the Heron wont be bothered by it. Jet spray repellers are your best bet if you dont want to put anything in the actual pond .

Had at least 4 different cats $#itting in my garden last year. Bought 2 of these and they work. Some cats dissapeared straight away others took longer but I removed the sensors over winter and have had no cats return so far. I cant hear them but they annoy my Mrs. It's usually only children that can hear them.

Water version is more efficient at deterring cats but the one I had started to malfunction, leaking water plus the sun and weather in general have adverse effects on pir sensor, so eventually put a very thin wire trellis fence up all around the garden on top of six foot fence seems to of stopped 99% of cats coming to crap in gravel beds, plus the birds have started nesting again now!

my old neighbor, she is home bound, (she is a very nice person) and she would put cats food at doorstep and fed any cats come by around). Now this become a strong hood, at least 10 coming and go (sometimes more than 20!)
for some reason I don't understand, those cats just like come into my garden only to leave something behind. It's smelly and unhygienic. Summer is coming and I like to sit at the garden without this nonsense.
Opening post
Integrated solar panel for mains-free operation, with 5 modes for specific animals or universal use
With sturdy aluminium spike for ground attachment, and materials for optional wall-mounting
Includes batteries and USB charging cable
** note : may not supply to all Lidl store
Hi, could anyone share their experience with this item. I need one desperately, just not sure buy this one or those on amazon, thanks in advance

i did get mine from either bmstore or poundstretcher when they had a sale a few years ago paid about £1 to 2 per piece trellis, approx. £30 in total to cover all of the tops of the fence, it was a lot of faffing to attach with heavy duty staple gun but worth it as seldom get cats anymore!
