I am in the same boat and bought it when it was £399. It doesn't look too big so hopefully will fit in the back of my Ford Focus.

I have not compared both machines, but the Samsung that we got a couple of weeks ago is VERY quite with hardly any judder (a lot less than our 15 year old Bosch even when it was new).
It's also a lot heavier than the Bosch as well.

Got this a couple of months ago for 329 from Currys, so seems to be regular discounter. Awesome machine and we'll worth the price. Highly recommended

Had a similar LG washer for 4 years now. It's been OK. Quiet and reliable. Stopped working once but fixed by doing a factory reset (unplug then plug back in whilst holding the on/off button). Also worth noting the rubber seal goes black with mould after a couple of years. Note that these washers don't fit very well under a kitchen worktop. The Bosch fitted flush with the units. The LG sticks out 3 inches when pushed hard against the back wall.

Just push it out as far as you can online and then call the knowhow team on 0344 561 0000 a week or so before delivery to push it out further or to the required date.

Worth also adding that if anyone is looking to buy this for a new house that they haven't moved into yet - make sure that you put the new property as the delivery address as Curry's system will not let you change the delivery address for an in-flight order meaning you would need to cancel and re-order and potentially miss the offer...

all you have to do is follow instructions from manual - leave door open after wash until dry inside
scoon
7 Apr 162#21
apply generous amount of cif cream to the seal and put machine on a 90degree wash, should sort the mould on any seal

If you paste the code into the box on the website the "apply" button isn't clickable. You need to delete a character and reinsert or just type the code manually.
Also you can get 2.5% cashback through quidco/tcb

I played with registering on the LG site and the white has 5 and the silver has 2.
I've emailed LG about this but reply was garbage so will try again.
The LG web site is truly horrid from a support perspective.
Have emailed curry's but could be a 72 hour wait.
Anyone got a silver one what did Curry's say about the guarantee.

10 Apr 16#29
The silver one FH4U2VCN4 silver model does not qualify for the Samsung 5 year guarantee.
From LG "Unfortunately, this model does not qualify for the five year warranty promotion and therefore is only covered by LG for the standard two year warranty period.
I am aware that this appliance was sold to you with the understanding it had the five year warranty, therefore it would be understandable if you returned the item for being miss sold"
I may wait to see if Curry's r offering their own guarantee but I think its just a screw up on their part.

Could be that LG have got this wrong as its advertised on TV as well both the Silver and White have 5 yr guarantees. Normally a lot of LG's only have 2 so could be a special negotiated deal for Currys.

I emailed LG and got a response within 30 mins. This machine in white does have the extended warranty and even though its on backorder 2-4 weeks you can still register it when its delivered for the extra warranty even though the terms state 28 days after purchase.
The code LKA10 worked plus quidco will take this down to below £369 which is ace. Still more than some paid for during xmas.
I checked the machine out in-store and the door was more substantial than the Samsung as did the rest of the machine. I boiled it down to Samsung or LG who do not have sealed drums.

I get the impression that 2 years is standard with LG
I've must tried emailing them but it's a poxy form based system and will not let me do it for some reason. I will look into it later.
I might not be able to do this deal anyway as it seems that I cannot use my old washer dryer just as a dryer without it been plumbed in :disappointed:

Bought one yesterday, I used the code LKA20 and got £20 off.
I believe there are 3 different codes running at the min on Large Kitchen Appliances. From the site I found them they run out on 17/04/2016.
LKA10 for £299 and over
LKA20 for £299 and over
LKA30 for £399 and over.

I spoke to Currys Webchat last week and asked the question about the 5yr Guarantee and they said they would feed to back and change it if necessary but nothing has changed and its still advertised online and in store on the ticket so looks like 5yr guarantee is on both colours. Just take a picture of the ticket in store and snapshot the picture on line as proof if your still concerned. Currys will have to honour it if its different.

Our old LG, one of the early direct drive models, was over 12 years old and despite needing a new bearing and dampers in this time (although nothing else) it was a great machine which was used very hard (two kids, cats etc.).
As I repaired it myself (ask me how easy getting the old bearings out is...) I got to see how well engineered they are and I had no qualms about buying another.
This was about the price we paid for the old machine (7kg, 1200 spin, obviously less efficient) so a bit of a bargain.
Only downside is the cheesy tune it plays when it finishes the cycle.

Got this from Currys
"In regards to your email about the LG 5 year warranty, if you are still having trouble claiming it, please contact LG's customer service team on 0344 847 5454 and they will assist directly."
Clueless, I will give lg a bell tomorrow.
Anybody bought a silver one yet?

I bought the silver one when it was on offer mid April. LG confirmed that it is included in the 5 year guarantee, yet their website didn't show this. However I still decided to purchase because it stated 5 years on Currys. Currys were investigating my query and it seems the opposite has now happened! Currys have removed the Silver one from their site and LG have now added the Silver to their site (apparantly they were waiting all along to add new machines). So it's all worked out from my side £359 which seems like a great price and for what seems like a good quality washine machine with 5 years cover. LG have since decided to extend the 5 years for purchases after 30th April. There is no expiry date at present, however it's back to RRP £569 @ Currys.

I'm a bit worried now. Bought the silver one a couple of weeks ago. Salesman assured me it has 5 year warranty, however the white one had a 5 year parts and labour sticker on it, the silver one did not. Emailed LG asking the question - what is the warranty on model FH4U2VCN4 (silver). Will feedback when I have a response.

I purchased a LG washing machine from currys, and we agreed delivery in three day. On the day of delivery I received text massage on the time of delivery as I was waiting all day the delivery did not arrive nor the help line answer the phone.
The day after I went to the branch were I purchased , the told me that the w/machine was delivered to somebody else and I hear from the that they can not deliver nex day nor same day and can not give me a date all they say may be next week.
I was very disappointed and fuming for waistline my time and the bad service I had from currys without them offering anything to cover there mistake such as nex day delivery. Therefore I claimed a full refund and I would not recommend currys to anybody for bad attitude and bad service and they do not Horner there promises.

I would have insisted on next day delivery as its not your fault that they cocked it all up. If that hadnt worked then I'd phone customer services and demand it, if that didnt work I'd try again and escalate to higher management. Persistency often pays off.
