Yeah but the newer model was also £119 at one point, and Argos have a habit of using the the wrong spec in their descriptions, which they did with this model previously.

Surely this is the TAB A10 model and NOT the TAB 2 version?!!
Even though the original TAB A10 (which this appears to be) is still a decent model, this appears to be bad and misleading advertising by Argos.

Why do you think it's not the Tab2? It says that in both the title and description on the website, I think I might go for it

I Picked up one of these last week when they were £119, this is the Tab 2 A10-30 model, which is lower spec that the A10-70 currently at £179. Its still a decent spec for the price, especially at sub £100, only has Android 5.1.1, and does not look like lenovo are likely to upgrade to 6.0 which the A10-70 is running.
For general everyday use, this is a good unit at a good price
Its worth noting that Tesco currently have the A10-70 model on offer at £139.

I would personally prefer to spend an extra fiver and get a LENOVO MIIX 300 with double the memory, a keyboard and an HDMI port. I know it's Windows rather than Android so you're trading playstore apps for full Windows functionality but a cheap little device like these is likely going to live it's life browsing the web, bit of facebook, playing media and some casual gaming.

Unless you have an essential Android app the MIIX just gives way more for the money.

Sorry you're right. Googled the model number (za0c0063gb) and got this review, but the specs don't fit. Strange that the review comes up though.

The A10-70 is currently less than £140 at Tesco. Double the RAM, higher resolution display (1920 x 1200) and a slightly faster processor (1.5GHz).

The A10-70 doesn't run Marshmallow.

I bought the A10-70 a few months back after my Hudl packed up, I've been very pleased with it.

I would still take this over the A10-30 because of the better spec. Although, sub £100 isn't a bad price for the lower spec model, if you're not too fussed about the screen resolution etc.

I agree on a tablet. But I'd choose a phone or a hybrid device over a tablet any day of the week.

Windows isn't as good a tablet interface as android, but android is a far worse desktop interface.

after this post i looked around online to see if i could find the £170 hd one cheaper, and ofc i found it ( after long battles with my extremely poor internet connection) at tesco for £129 with the £10 off code, i posted it to see how it goes as tempted to get it as only £30 more, just not sure if its worth it?

I think a phone, tablet and PC all have their place. Agree Android is best for tablets and phone's and Windows for computers.

Or grown-up Linux for computers.

Argos currently has Lenovo ideapad laptops 11.6 reduced to £129.99. Any experience of using them? Would it be better deal than Lenovo 10' tablet?

Well they're totally different things - one is a (non touch-screen) laptop and one is a tablet. I notice Argos is lying in that description too by saying it has a "high definition display" - it's bog standard cheap laptop.

So in this case, Lenovo 10' for £99.99 is a better deal. I bought Lenovo tab 2 7' some time ago and happy with it however screen is a bit small.

The A10-30 and A10-70 are both described as Tab2. Which one did you get?

That question has already been asked and not been answered. Other people have said it's the inferior tablet. Don't convince yourself that you'll get the better one - it looks like you'll be wasting your time.
