LUFC season tickets are back on sale, and for those who purchase before May 31st will qualify for a potential 25% or 50% off depending on sales, which will be refunded if LUFC do not make top 6 in the championship next season!
Now I'm a leeds fan, and although I shouldn't be drawing a downer on my team, I think it's highly unlikely that we reach top 6 with our current team, and usually our signings are mediocre and rare, so I can't see a major change in team performance anytime soon.
So, in the probable event that we dont make the playoffs AND there are over 15000 season tickets sold, you will receive up to a £244 refund. Come on now, you can't complain about prices now, thats almost £10 a game!
Get in and support the lads, or do one if you're a wednesday fan =]
Cheers

nah mate, but a more transparent and fair bidding process would've been nice. also, it stinks that the taxpayer is picking up the bill for a variety of future expenses including policing on matchdays all the way down to corner flags for the pitch. if I was a West ham fan I'd feel like I'd won the lottery.

Maybe just let the stadium rot like the dome did for many years with no income at all would of been your choice.

So why do the "mighty" Leeds need to introduce a gimmick to sell more season tickets? - surely a club as huge as yours will sell out every week if you're such an attractive proposition? Just look at the attendance figures this season - Leeds are top - oh no wait, no they're 2nd, no 3rd , no 4th! - Leeds are still a big name - but there's huge way to go before you're a big club again - and cobblers about "everyone else's cup final" sum up why most fans of other clubs hope that day never comes.....
I thought he would have been gone by now. Leeds destroyed by morons in charge who expect results without investment.

Sky viewing figures in the championship are almost doubled when Leeds are involved. We are still a big name and everyone else's cup final in this league.
On the pitch I think it could be a while before we return to the Premier League. I thought when we went down in 82 it seemed an eternity returning to the top division... Nothing in comparison to our current exodus. Sad really as the supporters have suffered more than most.
I don't know where the dirty Leeds tag comes from. I had the opportunity a few months ago to make use of one of the corporate boxes, a three course meal and a game of football...my plate was clean as was the food.
The football was crap.

My god, I've lived in bradford all my life and never wanted to support city, anything other than their main stand looks like more like a kwik fit than anything at leeds. Would love to settle the score next season, but thats about as likely as villa staying up this season...wait...

Isn't this a bit of a non deal?
Your pay full price if they get automatic promotion and 25% off if they get play offs and 50% off If they don't get anything its not technically A deal surely? I would also think dirty Leeds would not get top 6 anyway so maybe it is a deal
barticom to mon94key
19 Apr 161#7
Almost;
If we get into the top 6, you pay full price for your season ticket. If we don't get into the top 6, you get 25% off OR 50% off if more than 15000 fans renew/buy their season ticket before may 31st
It is kind of a non deal as you don't actually know if you've saved anything until the end of the season, but to be honest, if you are a leeds fan, it technically means your season ticket is priced accordingly to how well the team plays next season. I'm sure most fans who had season tickets for our last season in league 1 will say it was worth it at full price, but since then in the championship we've been...well...****. You get what you pay for
