The fabled Lacura concealer pen's are back in. Whether it is really a dupe for Touche Eclat I couldn't say. I've never used it. But pretty decent for £2.99.

Depends on your undertone.
Cool – pink/rosy undertones with blue toned veins
Warm – golden/yellow undertones with green toned veins
Neutral – no obvious yellow or pink tones, it’s difficult to tell if your veins are blue or green

I had the white pressed Stargazer powder when I as a teenager! Oh the memories. If you're pale enough it's okay, but if you over do it looks like you've had a fight with a bottle of talc

I'm always keeping an eye out for suitable, pink toned loose powders anyway, so I'll pm you if I spot anything

Hi juggler1 :man: Clarins and Chanel are a bit out my price range. I did once splurge (for me, anyway) on Clinique but I actually preferred my old Collection 2000, 9 Translucent Light loose powder pot! They discontinued that shade ages ago though.

Just seen your last comment. Ye, I have oily skin, matt all the way for me, I don't want shine. Not tried the Chanel as yet, does look promising, but have been happy with the Clarins. None of that turning orange after an hour or 2. I bought a few powders of diff brands last year when I got a bee in my bonnet about not being able to find. Think I got a Lancôme one too. I might've used that, or that too might be knocking around in my enormous stash of make up

I have the exact same issue.. God knows why, but lots of loose powders have been discontinued. When I've questioned it, the reply is that they aim for a 'dewy' rather than 'matt' look? I can also only use a loose powder that has a pink tone, so that it doesn't go orange. I've just finished Clarins Multi eclat 03 dark 405931, and about to start Chanel 22 Rose Clair 132.090. Can't remember what I paid for the Clarins, but will have bought on offer, and I'm sure it's lasted around a year.. The Chanel was a surprisingly relatively reasonable £33.

I'm not great with shimmery or mineral powders, they make me look awful. It's got to be matte. But thanks
White loose powders seem to be a "thing" at the moment - not sure how they would look in reality!

Can I make a quick recommendation, I use this HD Silica Microspheres
Its exactly the same stuff as MakeupForever's HD Powder and the ELF HD powder. It does a great job of 'blurring' your pores and complexion. Oh and its completely translucent (I'm as pale as casper lol).
A 15g bag has lasted me over a year for around £4.50. The only pain is find a suitable container with a sifter...

Hope Aldi reintroduce these as a permanent line. I can see from a much older thread about this that I actually asked in few Aldis if they'd restock it (bit sad but it is one of my makeup staples).
All I need now is a decently priced and sized loose face powder for my paleface ! I've been using Coty Airspun Translucent but finding a UK seller of this is nigh on impossible and I'm running out. Superdrug seem to have stopped stocking NYC Smooth Skin Loose Powder (translucent) as well. Most loose powders go orange on me!!

I wouldn't bother buying it again personally! Couldn't see that it made any difference - this has my vote over the YSL one!
I also bought Superdrug's own brand ('B' something!) for £1.98 a couple of weeks back as it was half price, and this is way more effective for me than YSL TC was, and about a tenth of the price!

Anyone know which colour is best for fair skin? The one that says for light skin looks really pinky to me, but I don't know if it's just bad colour printing on the boxes.

I am glow in the dark pale and I went for the pinkish one. I had that worry too, but it blends in fine on me. I haven't tried the more yellow one to be fair though, so couldn't say what it is like.

Edit: The HD Silica Microspheres reminds me of the https://www.amazon.co.uk/Stargazer-5036469025051-Loose-Powder-White/dp/B002DY3G9I and https://www.amazon.co.uk/Technic-Focus-Transparent-Loose-Powder/dp/B017NILG4K (Technic also do a translucent powder I might try).
