Try them then make up your mind.
I used to look at them and think "pfft that much for some donuts" then I bought a 12 pack assorted box for sister and family.
I nabbed one as they looked nice and damn they make the 5 for 50p supermarket ones taste like **** in comparison.
Kinda like drinking cheap instant coffee then drinking a nice espresso based coffee.

And we think £1.90 is an acceptable price for a doughnut do we? Even at 95p each I'm conflicted about whether this should get heat or not.

One difference is you can make a nice espresso based coffee at home - no need to pay £3 for it. You'd struggle to make doughnuts as complex and delicious as these at home. They are not a fat-soaked lump of stodgy batter with a squirt of flavoured syrup. Worth a quid!

Goodbye diet! I know where I'm going after work tonight, these are addictive. I used to think who pays this much for doughnuts until I tried one lol

I am sure these were free with vouchers some time ago. I am not sure if the offer is still available.
I know some people who had a free one every day!

Bit pricey for a ball of fried bread with sugar sprinkles eh... It's just marketing.

This might work out "cheaper" overall if you get the 2 doughnuts as part of the Coffee Combo... from memory I think its £4.35 for a regular coffee and any 2 doughnuts.
Plus if you join their fan club you can claim a free original glazed doughnut.

Wish Krispy Kreme would open more stores... I'm not driving to London just for a few doughnuts!

I can understand the comments that nearly £2 is a lot to pay for a donut, but if you are having a trip out to a KK it's a good deal. Leaving aside the fact that these are scrummier than your average supermarket donut, KK don't charge extra if you are eating in, which means that a coffee and a donut in a KK is no more expensive than having a coffee and a scone in Tesco cafe.
Also, they are mostly no more expensive than the tiny slices of rocky road type biscuit you get in Costa for £1.95.

I tried this today at the new Hammersmith store, very nice but the service was dead slow so I gave up and brought a portuguese custard tart instead from the shop opposite..

These are the crack cocaine of doughnuts! Anyone who says they are not worth this much money, hasn't had one.
The best place to eat them is in their coffee shops rather then from supermarkets cabinets. Not only do they taste better fresh, but you can enjoy the envious looks of people going past.

Does anybody know if I'll be able to get two of the billionaires one or does it have to be one of each?
