it works on AC power, yes, but it doesn't come with an adapter - well mine didn't.
You need a 5 volt wall charger with a 5.5mm plug deeley.

Check the Amazon reviews (not the star rating) before you order. Might be OK if you are in a super strong DAB coverage area.

I bought two of these on the last deal. Great little radios. Don't expect amazing things but for the money, you can't go wrong.

I have two of these, and they are good for the price, controls are a bit fiddly and they aren't up to much volume wise.
Mine came from the Vodafone shop too and both came with AC adapters as well as being able to run from batteries.
They do need a reasonably strong signal to work on DAB and they are not DAB+ compatible, so they won't pick up some of the recently launched national stations (Jazz FM and a children's channel I believe).

So I guess the question is, why would you get this when you could just get a Bluetooth speaker and pair with your phone? Genuine question. Aren't all DAB stations available through the Internet?

Because not everyone can be arsed with faffing about with a phone and a bluetooth speaker when they just want the radio on.

Limited data tariffs, can't imagine dab radio takes a small amount of data.

If you ignore the paid-for five star reviews, the rating on Amazon isn't that great.

internet radio and (terrestrial) DAB are completely different. don't see any phones advertised as having a DAB antenna. but internet radio would eat into your data plan, yes. and it is easier to get a DAB signal than it is 3/4g.

I bought one a little while ago, but it only tuned in to 5 stations whereas my usual portable DAB radio picks up almost 40. I returned it for a refund. Might be OK in a strong signal area, but be wary if you are out in the sticks.

I got mine just to Listen to Chris Moyles on my commute to work in the morning (sorry - know he's not everyone's cup of tea) . It keeps its signal fine but it does go through the batteries. Also you may see you can buy a usb power cable for Kitsound Pixel on eBay for about £4. I couldn't work out if it was the correct model so gave it a go and the cable that arrived has a power adapter that much too small so no good. If anyone knows of a cable that works please post.
