In view of various alcohol clearance lines I've been checking the dept. when in-store. Today I found Johnnie Walker Black Label, which scanned @ £15 for a 70cl bottle, in the Liscard store. Saw it on the top 'excess stock' shelf (price-checked it because I spotted a 'r.t.c.' shelf label for it in the Bromborough store on Monday, but none left). There's another one left at Liscard if anyone local is interested, possibly more in the stock room.

It's a 12 year old blended Scotch Whisky, 40% abv. Could be national - certainly worth checking if in a store.
It's a bargain as J.W. Red Label is currently on offer @ £15 in Asda

Would I find this where JW Black would normally be found or elsewhere in the store if my local offers it (no idea where the 'RTC' shelf is as don't shop at ASDA often)?

Try either the normal whisky shelf (saw a 'r.t.c' shelf-edge label in one store near to JW Red), or on a special clearance stand near the Beers, Wines & Spirits aisle. I spotted mine on the top "excess stock" shelf, so worth casting a glance up there too.
Good luck!

Just because it's a blend doesn't make it junk. Johnnie Walker black is a good example of this!

JW black is generally spoken of in good terms.
Some good whisky prices at the moment; noticed the Singleton of Dufftown at £28 in Tesco's the other day, and they've still got the HIghland Park on offer at £23 (joy).
