A case for the iphone 5/5s/SE is imo essential, the phone is quite slippery to hold which I think contributes to the numbers of people with cracked screens.

This style of case is actually very good - it's very form-fitting and barely adds any thickness to the phone but a lot of much needed protection. You can get the same style on eBay in various colours and for less money though (I'll try and find a link, trying to work out the search keywords isn't easy)!
