I got two of the Ella things and a sofa and two armchairs, worth a total of £2,000, for £240!

I added all of the things I was interested in to my basket and then when I tried to check out it let me know the ones that were not available, but there were enough left for me to be able to pick ones that I wanted, so I just removed the ones I didn't want or that were not available and managed to order just fine. Delivery not until July though.

Assuming I don't get a call that it's out of stock.

I had to ring to cancel an order (managed to order nicer chairs). Staff are well aware of discounts and said it is because of takeover. I am GUESSING that as they split from Argos they are having to clear out stock from shared warehousing and also to sell the sofas that have been pre ordered by Homebase on the production runs (hence long delivery times). So to make sure takeover is quick and easy they are selling items off at cost (guessing again) to shift it for the takeover. Could easily be a case of whatever is left in warehouse by a certain date becomes Argos stock. So I dont think we have anything to worry about regarding cancellations IMO.

all I can say is keep trying people. the website is being hammered obviously and anything related to basket or checkout is struggling to load. Also the login side of things are incredibly slow, password reminders aren't being sent out (or at least, not quick enough) so just create a new account in a different email and try to order that way.

Also, the not in stock for delivery may be a glitch. I tried to order a sofa, told me out of stock in checkout. removed, tried again an hour later, managed to order and have order number etc.

No confirmation emails being sent it seems, but the order details ARE in your My Account section on website to take down order numbers etc.

What a beautiful photograph... proof that there is defintely some bargains to be had.

Placed an order for several items which went out of stock at various points. Ended up with 2 sofas, went through to arrange delivery screen, pressed continue, did nothing for half an hour. Contacted CS who said they don't have an MD at the moment due to a takeover and the sofas are OOS. Took the afternoon off as leave. Wasted 3 hours. Not happy.

Well I managed to place an order for £370 had to use debit card and I think I have 2 frozen credit cards now which is beyond annoying ended up paying by debit card as I didn't want to risk my last credit card which I use for contactless.

FWIW I found chrome worked better than firefox. But then I have lots of add ons on firefox.

The website is awful, so many javascript errors..

Authorisation of the payment won't go through so you won't have to do anything, hopefully anyway, had this same thing happen previously and never had to ring up, the money never actually leaves your account it's just not available to use

Security issues on the website at the moment, so use at your own risk. I've reported to homebase after being presented with someone elses account details.

Some on the Homebase Facebook page are saying their orders are being cancelled even though they have confirmations and money taken. Homebase is telling them that items were not in stock when the orders were accepted.

So no-one seems to know what is happening...lol

Homebase will be cancelling orders due to insufficient stock, wouldn't read too much into everything you read on here or Facebook

Had to get in pretty quick to get anything decent, the risk you take ordering items that have possibly been ordered hundreds of times in a day

Looks like my orders went through with the exception of the Ella 5 Drawer Tallboy. I called to check something and she said that they don't have enough stock even though they have put it back on sale but under a different code. Told her that and she says she couldn't confirm the two items were the same. Insulting my intelligence I think.

They rang me I answered phone went dead, but rang them back on the same number and got through straight away, Argos order numbers are different to homebase from what I can gather it is just the transfer over as Argos are dealing with the order, but she said my order is ok and it is coming on Thursday. They will ring night before with a 2 hr delivery slot.

No, they were just massively reduced to £10 for the tall boy and £5 each for the bedside drawers. The ones I was originally going to buy from the Factory Warehouse have sold out so I've missed out and will now have to pay a fortune. A letter of complaint will be on its way because as alfroylnt said they're still being sold so clearly they do have stock. Might also copy Trading Standards in........

The orders with the £100 glitch should be honoured minus the £100, if the customer agrees, if not fair enough to cancel.

Had a confirmation email and they have taken the money and rang to confirm delivery date. This was for two chairs for the price of delivery. Now just to wait for the delivery date to see if they turn up.

I called to check on my order, and was told by a rude woman that they would NOT be delivering my order of two Ella Tallboy Cabinets.

I was then asked to provide feedback..... What a farce!

Not sure if anyone has noticed, but the SAME item is now on the website, in the past twenty minutes, and CAN be ordered, at full price of £73 including delivery. Diabolical.

Just had a phonecall from Homebase to say Ella order cancelled. I also placed another 2 orders for other reduced furniture but they couldn't tell me if they would be delivered or not. Poor show really.

I rang up again today, my order of my sofa & armchair should be delivered next month, but my Ella tall boy drawers are cancelled. To be honest I'm just thankful for those. You can't have it all I guess :disappointed:

I had a cancel call 5 minutes ago stating 'lack of stock' which is nonsense as they are in stock at £60. I'd rather they didn't lie and just tell me it's a miss price.

Just received a text from Homebase confirming delivery of order number blah blah (doesn't match any order that I placed) on 17th May. I can't be bothered to try and clarify what is actually being delivered so will wait and see what turns up!

I think someone said previously that we are all getting different order numbers because the stock that Homebase cleared was stock that Argos was holding for them (as Homebase is no longer owned by Argos).

what has probably happened is the Ella sets where an item that was sold instore at Homebase, rather than just online like most of the reduced stock. as such, it was oversold at a discount because the system could not tell whether the item was in an argos warehouse or not. so they sold every one they had, but have now realised they dont need to sell them all so cheap, so have cancelled some orders. there is nothing to complain about, they have just sold out at the heavily reduced price. Keep calm and wait for the next deal.

Had a text with an order number that's not mine and a delivery date in June that I didn't pick :-/

So my delivery tuned up for a Woburn Coffee Table, Woburn Display Cabinet and a Ryebourne Desk and Dressing Table. Delivered by Argos driver in a Argos van with Argos product labels on all the boxes.

So it looks like they have cleared the Argos held stock which is why there were different product codes for the same items online and why some stuff is still on sale but at the regular higher price.

If you have received a text with a different order number than the one in your original confirmation email, put it into the Argos tracking and you will see what your order is!

Brilliant, thanks! My footstool is being delivered on 17th May. Paid £48.95 including delivery and the price shown on Argos is £249.99 so happy with that. Still no news on the Stockbridge bedside cabinets or Woburn tables I ordered.

Received my refund this morning

My tallboy was cancelled like others however I bought a dining table bench which said if no delivery date is available at this time and they will provide a full refund if they cannot accept the order.

Just received a text (at 10am) saying delivery date is today 9am-11am, drive will call an hour before, and then another saying they will let me know that I will be given a two hour slot the night before delivery day.

They're all over the shot!

Still waiting for my refund two weeks later and the phone lines are super busy.

I'm having quite a rollercoaster ride! I got the Canonbury Bureau Desk last Wednesday, as arranged.

Boyf had his Benwick sofas delayed right in the middle of his delivery slot last week - he was quite upset as he'd cleared his living room - but Homebase assured him it will still happen, they are just having stock delays.

The "sofa" thread on HUKD also had a member state Homebase told them they had no more Piacenza sofas (the one I'm waiting on, coming on Thursday!) which made me phone them in a panic, but apparently it depends on your local depot.

Another item was in limbo for ages, the Constable Sideboard - I got a confirmation email days after I put the order through, then Homebase were trying to allocate stock. After being asked if I wanted to cancel last week, they finally confirmed I'm getting one on 31st May!

In between this, trying to sell my old sofas has had its ups and downs. Posted them for free on Freecycle/Gumtree after no takers at a cheapo price and two no-shows so far (one didn't even have the courtesy to text and say she wasn't appearing - the other emailed cancelling with just an hour to spare).

I'm going to be nervous on Thursday morning, hoping Homebase don't cancel on me!

Really really annoyed that the system let me order when there was no stock and it's taken them this long of having my money in their account to figure it out and cancel it.

I let the poor employee on the end of the phone know exactly what I thought. Not that it'll make any difference. They've probably had it all day, said they had 800 sofa orders to cancel.

They really messed this up. Those with sofas still to come I'd not get too hopeful!

My order arrived today. Got 6 items in total. 3 x Schreiber Constable tv units and 3 x Schreiber Constable lamp tables. Paid £18.95 including delivery! Really pleased :smiley:

I enquired on Homebase's facebook page last week as I was still waiting for delivery of Woburn nest of tables and Stockbridge bedside cabinets. I was told the Stockbridge items were out of stock and I was refunded for them plus the delivery charge. The nest of tables were delivered the following day. Just now I've received a text from Argos letting me know that they will deliver the Stockbridge cabinets next Monday which I've already been refunded for! What on earth is going on?!?

My sofas arrived yesterday but the day before I had a mystery text from Argos that apologised for that day's delivery being cancelled and someone was going to phone to rearrange delivery. (Argos are fulfilling deliveries, for anyone who doesn't know).

I wasn't expecting anything that day, and Homebase themselves said they had no idea. Boyf had his sofas cancelled in the middle of his delivery slot 10 days ago too, stock delays, rescheduled for 3rd June.

Now I'm reading on the Homebase/sofas thread that one HUKD member was told all deliveries scheduled for June are being cancelled (!). Phoned them Friday afternoon and the customer service guy was rather puzzled, and said my orders are fine.

Another order I had didn't generate a order confirmation for days (whereas the others appeared right after payment) - it was in limbo for a week or two and Homebase asked if I wanted to cancel it last week. Said I'd leave it to chance and wait - I now have a delivery slot for 31st May (Constable Sideboard).

Seems a bit random!

My Stockbridge bedside cabinets were delivered this morning so they cost me the princely sum of £0 after Homebase refunded me for them saying they had no stock!

Delighted with all the items I managed to grab in the sale. Love the Woburn nest of tables so much I'm now trying to source matching items from this range. Managed to find the TV cabinet and would also love the bookcase to complete the set so if anyone has a Schreiber Woburn bookcase for sale, please let me know!

Eventually had my order cancelled, i made a fuss as they were supposed to be delivered the way they were cancelled so they give me a £50 voucher, would have much preferred the furniture but can't grumble.

Just had a recorded, automated message from an American bloke telling me the sofa bed that was due to be delivered 18/6 has been cancelled and full refund issued. How long have they had my money? Not exactly great CS, is it?

I'm the same but they told me i was defo getting mine and arranged delivery then rang me on the day to say it was on the way. An hour later got a call saying it was not coming. i had took time of work plus cleared the room [email protected]

Just had a call, Wyatt snuggler sofa bed out of stock, asked if there was an alternative so I now have a Bramcote coming, I think it's the same sofa different name although different price, the Wyatt was about £200 more AFAIR. She said everything else was ok which was the Benwicks.

What would happen if I cancelled my credit card account so they couldn't automatically refund me....

i ordered 2 wyatt snuggler arm chairs & have had confirmation that they'll be delivered on 24th june & i can track on argos tracking still so should i be worried about them saying they are out of stock & trying to cancel? :confused:

its possible, they may not cancel till the day they are coming as well. Happened to loads of people.

I have just been fobbed off by their enquiries team so have emailed the company CEO Mr Davis, They had my and by the sounds of it hundreds of peoples money for a month, totally unacceptable. One big con !

I got my delivery today (finally!) 8 dining chairs - £10 a pair and a wooden double bed £60 - didn't think they'd come.

I checked my bank account and I've been refunded for my two armchairs. Not email/call to say the order has been cancelled though. Not sure whether I should call them or not? Anyone else have a similar thing happen?

don't call them, some people have had refund and furniture where homebase has cocked up. Worst case you got your money back, best you get both.

sofas where only a small part of this deal, so this won't mean anything to most people. Also its a bit late now most people have been refunded or had the furniture. Plus as always with deals like this they are often not honoured you take the risk when you buy. I never got what I ordered but lots of lucky people did, just life unfortunately. Pointless dwelling on it.

I didn't even get a text - just took my £ for 4 weeks and then when I called up to check on delivery (due today) - oh, we're sorry, we can't fulfill and we've refunded. the customer service man even said they've had their legal team look into this - hang on, legal team has been asked to look into this situation but you can't even send me an email or call me? shocking - am going to take advice on this, terrible way to treat a customer!
