I agree! Our family had it at Gateshead IKEA, and it was tougher than old boots

Food is always poor quality. Fine if you're hungry while shopping but never worth more than they charge. You get what you pay for.

You're IKEA must be different than ours then.
We have had many meals from there and its always excellent and great value. Love their breakfast and meatball meals and their apple pie is lovely

Food isn't that bad if you're there anyway... nice little lunchboxes for little ones that are good value. Hate their preachy removal of any nice drinks. There's literally nothing of the drink selection I can bear... Not bad price for the food advertised though

Milton Keynes one is variable. The hot meals can be good but not always. Stopped eating meatballs there as we were all having unfortunate digestive repercussions from them. Generally we have a cake and a coffee, sometimes a hot dog on the way out. They are amazingly cheap though if you have a Family Card (which is free).

It's ok food. But the suspicious sounding seasonal sauce reads badly.

I prefer my Picanha Steak from Waitrose - it may cost more but so far I've never had a bad one.
And at least by cooking it yourself you know who to blame if it's overdone ...

I don't have a major gripe about Ikea's food, just that you get what you pay for. I do eat in it occasionally but I think the price they charge is fair relative to the quality. It's hardly something to write a post about. We all know they do cheap nosh.

Just had this and well worth the Family card price although don't think I'd pay full whack.
Steak (more like a mini roasting joint than a steak) was better than expected, peppercorn sauce quite nice and potatoes were fine.
