I also bought one of these when they were on sale for a fiver. Took it on a long weekend trip to Dublin and it is very waterproof as long as you roll the top down properly. Agreed it's a bit weird but great as a weekend/gym bag for the money

Avoid! It looks like a 'proper' rucksack in the photo but essentially it's a very flimsy piece of waterproof material with straps. No secure closure at the top either if I remember.

I got one of these last time, the material is not what I was expecting, I agree with the poster above - it's a very weird bag! I haven't had it in a real downpour but would be shocked if it was genuinely waterproof - the fabric is very thin. On the plus side there is so little to these bags they are very light, wouldn't have bought it if I'd seen it though!

Pretty sure it's designed for marine use e.g boating/kayaking. You put your bits in, clasp the top then roll it down and do the clips up. If the bag goes overboard then it floats because of the air trapped in it.

I got one of these a few months back. It was about £5.

I almost sent it back because it had lots of straps and clasps and no closing top. Its basically pretty weird.

I kept it and use it for the gym now but i still think its a bit odd.
