You may be right about the regular price, I bought one (via Amazon I think) a few years ago and it was about the same price (might have been a special offer with a pound off perhaps). I was surprised how well it was manufactured, and it still looks smart outside the house today.
A few commentators have said they did not like it because it looks too modern, I suppose that is true and it probably would not look right on a thatched cottage in a Sussex village, but on any post-war house (the last 70 years, which probably accounts for half the housing stock in the nation) this sign would look fine.

As I and others have commented elsewhere (from experience):
1. Actually, they look OK on a modern house.
2. They do not deteriorate with age. Ours is fine after more than two years on an outside wall, others have made similar comments on here.

Have you removed the protective plastic cover? Brushed aluminium doesn't peel off.

It is missing the occupied/vacant slider for the meeting room for which it is designed. Seriously who would put this on their house? I'd put money on almost all purchasers living in a new build and driving a BM, Mini or Fiat 500.

I bought one of these on a groupon a couple of years ago. They look nice but aren't very robust - not recommended if any kids are likely to tamper with it!

Everytime I see a house with one of these I think how horrible it looks, looks like a holiday let or a dentist, so clinical and unhomely, I'm very surprised these deals always do so well, obviously my opinion is in the minority.

I got a number sign etched within the small window above the door, the only one on my road (and Small Heath) for a few years until I saw a few others recently getting triple glazing and copying the design. Well it is Small Heath after all, the land of freshies, begs and extortionists so of course it was to be eventually expected.

I will confess to owning quite a smart laser engraving machine which i bought as part of our print company... These signs are quite easy to produce but look nowherenear as sood as slate/wood signs..

If you don't already have something like this - get it. It is SO useful for emergency services to be able to see your house number from the road.

When minutes count, something like this is incredible because it allows EMS to see how much further up the road they need to go (or not as the case may be!) at a glance.

Worth getting one for elderly relatives if you already have something like it.

They should pay us to have their advert on it!!!
