It ultimately depends on the value of the order, for this specific order they should let it pass as long as you show them the automated text message or have a copy of the order printed with you.

Poundland have same for ... a pound. (If your not near a Screwfix)

If it IS the Poundland one, don't bother - it leaks like a sieve and is very cheaply made.

This is one of those situations where it seems like a cracking deal. Then it gets icy January, it cracks and is useless and you wish you spent £20 on metal connectors because it's Sunday PM and the dog needs washing.
Good deal and you could buy a few years worth and save money but I wouldn't buy personally.

I was going to say almost the same thing, but didn't want to rain on anyone's parade.
These are poor quality, I keep some as emergency spares, but they never last long.

Good info thanks; but in January I rarely use my hose as it often freezes up. However at 74p I took your advise and went for the 'few years worth'!

639 degrees, seriously?
There are three shops within five minutes of me that sell these for a pound, pretty sure everyone will have a shop nearby that does. Definitely if you live close to a Screwfix!

You're forgetting the quidco!.. if it rounds up, you'll actually get a fair bit high than the the stated rate too.

This is over 25% cheaper than a pound though - 25% off deals usually go pretty hot.

For me, Screwfix is in retail park, free parking. Poundshops are in town centre, £2 parking. No brainer.

Like me. Cos it's cheap!!!!!!!!!
Love a bargain, can't resist.
Plus, if I don't use them (highly likely as they'll be spares) I'll probably take them down the car boot and put 50p on 'each' or 75p. Win win win. Simples!
HOT!
What makes me laugh is Screwfix has 'almost' exactly the same item listed at £2.99

Suppose that's for the suckers, too much money, no time to check, so pay over the odds.
Paid via Paypal. So quick. So simple. Paypal. The new money! Anyone disagree?

I had a problem when I couldn't find my passport for photo id for my own small order paid for by paypal. It had to be cancelled and redone using a card. They seem quite strict.

No you need an external tap with a brass thread, once you have that any hoselock type fitting will, er, fit.
