Have you been to Kos recently. If not please be quiet and go back to reading your daily mail. I have (twice) and even on a night out in Kos town (ie the landing point/holding point for any migrants) we did not encounter any difficulties. If you're not looking for a holiday to Kos then why are you repeatedly revisiting this thread and commenting on this deal other than you clearly have your opinion (based on zero fact or personal experience) and feel the need to share it. Please dont any more

The EU should buy Kos from Greece and eliminate their debt. That island can then be used to house all the refugees and be a seperate non eu country. 2 birds with one stone :sunglasses:

Get yourself on YouTube and see what kind of percentage of immigrants look like women and children to you.
I'll give you a hand...here's for starters - and as a rule of thumb...what kind of percentage of women and children does it look like to you? Your own eyes yeah...
(Oh and yes I have been through Calais..approximately 30 times in the past 2 or 3 years so i know EXACTLY what I'm talking about.

So for you, a "17 year old bloke" is an adult.
Strangely enough, NSPCC, the largest UK Charity for the protection of children, disagrees with you.
And the Citizens Advice network, also disagree with you.
And the Government also disagrees with you.
UNICEF also disagrees with you.
You know who these are, right?
But they've probably never been to Calais, I guess. You, having been to Calais (which I doubt), probably know better.
Unless of course you think British 17 year olds are considered children, whereas refugee 17 year olds aren't, in which case, I am only wasting my time responding to you.
Nevertheless, I had the chance of passing through Calais myself more than 6 times in the last 2 years.
Just because their main entry point to the UK is Calais (which is what your real concern is), doesn't mean that the male's percentage of refugees influx in Europe is 70% as "you are sure" it is.
I do hope you realise that the UN website I quoted refers to Europe, not just those waiting at Calais.
You do know Europe is a vast area, right?
And you do understand that people (yes, the ones "masquerading" are in fact people) are spread all over it, right?
If you don't, feel free to stand by your 70% assumption, but not before you quote your source.
You do have one, right?
Once again, IMHO, I think it's better to only discuss deals on this website.
As far as I am concerned, this is the last thing I reply on that matter, so feel free to write as many of your amazing and well-informed perceptions as you like.

Turkey is safe for them, they want the gold resort that is the UK. That is why they are leaving Turkey for the EU.
Not, saying I wouldn't do the same. Spent two weeks in Bodum a few years back. Wasn't the best.

Get yourself over to Calais and see how many of those masquerading round making a nuisance of themselves are women...a very VERY small percentage.
Children....32%.....and men under the age of 18 are classed as children. So when I mean 'children' I really do mean a 'child' not some 17 year old bloke....take these from the 'children' section and put them to 'male' and you be looking at around 70% I'm sure.

I got back from kos town this morning. Weather is beautiful and we didn't see any issues with refugees despite being right on the harbour and few hundred yards from the beach. It's pretty quiet at the moment but that's to be expected! Great for a bit of relaxing sunshine though

That 90% is a huge misconception.
It would be really interesting to discover who states misleading percentages. And why.

I was in Kos last October.
Beautiful island and very friendly people.
Yes we did see refugees, but only when we visited Kos town.
We donated childrens clothes, that we took with us, direct to one of the charities who were working on the sea fron, for them to distribute.
You know something?
If we were in their terrible position at home, most of us would do exactly what they are trying to do.

I dunno..I reckon the decent people of the country would stay and fight...no matter what.
When Hitler invaded Europe, did we see vast armies (millions) of Europeans flocking to non war torn countries? No, we fought it out.
The issue with these immigrants I have is that it's 90% young males and the odd family. Where are the women? Where are all the children? It seems to me the men are trying to take the easy way out and flee the country so they don't have to defend themselves. Either that or...could there be another reason why a load of young muslim men would want to infiltrate Europe....hmm..I wonder.
Nowt wrong with Kos tho itself.

I was last there in October and previous to that in June. Newspapers are there to grab the headlines and sell copies, however, an isolated event on a given day does not mean it is a regular occurrence. It had no impact upon my holiday and have spoken to many others who have reported the same. Had i encountered any Syrians etc i still wouldnt have had an issue mind you, they are much more respectable and honourable people than many brits i know

Love Kos! Love the food there it seems more rustic than anywhere else in Greece! Don't worry about the 'fugees they are kept well away from the paying guests. Or you could bring them clothing and food if you like!

If you are not getting this holiday I have just the same right to post and revisit as you. Have you been to Kos in the past six months? - I highly doubt it - you would have mentioned this in your original post. I also think you need to understand the difference between opinion and fact. I ask you again are you denying that there is a refuge crisis? As for facts just google Kos. I added a daily mail post just for you.
That's you been told, now go tae yer room

I went to Kos at Easter, though it was quite a few years ago. On the plus side, it's a very pretty, though small island, and the Kos people are lovely. Downside is that the tourist season doesn't really start till May/June so many shops and restaurants were closed, and the weather was cool and it rained a couple of times. I would definitely go again for a cheap week in the summer but wouldn't go in April again tbh.
I can't comment on the situation with migrants in Kos, other than to say it is a small island so any increase in population would be noticeable. I would suggest looking on Trip Advisor for up to date reviews (presuming that they allow comments on the migrant crisis on Kos to be posted).

Idiots talking about things they know nothing about and using biased judgements based on what they read in the daily fail. So annoying! If anyone wants some useful advice i would mention that Kos will be very quiet this time of year as the season doesnt really get foing until May. Good deal.for those just looking for a bit of sunshine though

Those who know the island will know that kefalos is in the south part and is south facing.
The main migrant route is bodrum to the northern part of the island ie kos town.
Kefalos is absolutely beautifully relaxing if you're looking for more nightlife kardamena is just up the coast.
We can't wait to go back.

Kos is ridiculously cheap at the moment because of the influx of refugees plus it's generally cold over here until late May, I assume this is what is meant? I'm looking at Greece at the mo but the Corfu side and must admit there are some bargains.
