Great info in this thread, thanks to all but like others it just keeps me delaying! Rounding this up, Isn't the deal then the 55M3300 in NocturnELL's post which has HDR. What are we gonna get for the extra on The 55M7000 - seems to be £800+ from scant info on web (https://www.avforums.com/threads/hisense-next-gen-uled-tvs-promise-even-more.2003440/page-3)

I ended up buying a Sony KD-49X8005C £490 deal price( low range) and a Panasonic VIERA TX-50CX700B £500 refurb (mid range) and ended up sending the Sony back as the Panasonic outclassed both the Hisense and Sony.
Cheers for the info. I didnt realise the models was listed at richer sounds. A quick google search only bought up a few french websites.
Tempted to hold out a month or so aswell as the euros are around the corner, so im guessing a lot of tv promotions will be about (first week while england are still in it ha)

Thanks for your reply, much appreciated. In 2 minds if I should cancel now because that is exactly what I will be using it for as a 2nd large 4k screen for GTA V etc from my gaming rig.
Heated. I ordered this a few days ago so will be good to hear some discussion on this TV. Is there anyone using this for PC gaming that can comment on input lag or lip sync issues? Will post my impressions when it arrives.

I had the 50" version at Christmas but it suffered from mouse lag while using it which i found a pain as you could see it on windows desktop as well as playing games like GTA 5 in 4K although the picture looked great.
Another problem i found using it as a monitor was a lot of the screen settings become deactivated if your using a PC with the TV so your more limited to what you can fiddle with to improve the picture.
It also had noticeable motion judder with people/objects moving/walking at medium speed or above across the screen while watching films as well as uneven edge lighting down the sides.

I only became aware of HDR from watching BBC Click a couple of weeks ago (worth having a shufty). As I recall, HDR uses 10-bit colours rather than 8-bit which can make a huge difference to picture quality especially in dark scenes.
Interesting, given those sizings and specs, seems the M3300 & M3000 might line up with the H7 series? HDR, but note the lack of mentioned 'Local Dimming', which seems to be a prerequisite for 'making the most' of HDR content:
Also, Hisense UK roadmap has the M7000 due to launch in June, with 55" & 65" models. Initially I thought this might line up with the H7 series but maybe this is an amalgam of the H9 & H10?
Hmm - and all I really want is a 50" H8C - HDR & some type of Local Dimming at a great price point. :-/

As far as my research goes it's the entry range 2016 model. I have read that all Hisense 2016 models have HDR. This model was listed on richer sounds website about 10 days ago. I am in 2 minds... Might wait for the next model to be released, I reckon mid June.

I read this most sobering article yesterday, and for me I'm holding off on buying anything remotely 4K until the boxes are ticked

i work for argos and i put away the 55 inch one the other day, the website does not say it but the box clearly states its hdr as well. Im for taking the punt, ill get it at discount anyway, and if its garbage ill bring it bakc

Next time you're at work anychance you please could check the 43' model box. Cant find any further info on the tvs online
I got this from Argos for the same price -10% discount code they had at the time a month back, absolutely outstanding TV and outperforms way more expensive ones I've seen in shops, can't remember models, including Sony and LG.
I am a regular Xbox One gamer and don't experience any input lag (that is noticable to myself) even on non-game mode

Buy Panasonic dx902b. They are the best at the moment and anything from panny is reliable. I really wanted sonyxd9305, but went for dx902. It's a cut above rest.

Until 4k content becomes more mainstream/ubiquitous, I personally don't really see a great incentive to buy a 4k TV. By the time there is plenty of content I fully expect 4k HDR to be the standard technology, or possibly (a lot less likely though, IMHO) even OLED 4k HDR. I suspect all the TV deals we are seeing at the moment are an attempt to encourage the upgrade cycle in time for the Olympics.

I thought i was ready to buy a new TV but at every turn i get more and more confused and scared to jump in and buy. This tv and the 55" Phillips are good examples. LG is releasing an 8k tv this year and HDR OLEDs so I wonder if i'll ever end up buying anything :confused:
It feels like you really need to buy something that'll come under the new UHD Premium banner to get the best experience for the next few years, so I think I'll hold off for a while longer.
