Go for it! I bought a trolley jack and stands a while back. I jacked the car up once, had a look underneath and realised I had no f idea what I was doing. I quite liked rolling round the living room on the trolley thing it came with though. Sold the entire caboodle for half the price. Bargain!

Come, come, no one discounts as much as DFS.

Not much then, as I wouldn't call what DFS sell actual sofas

good deal, I have the industrial ones, but the Pro ones are totally fine for a home mechanic, esp at this price. Heat-you-do!

Agree OK tool box but if your budget can stretch the industrial range is a big leap in quality.

Would love this for hubby but I can't see the bundle anywhere for £199?

You need industrial ones when pro ones have lifetime warranty maybe ?

I have these cabinets and they are pretty good quality.
As has been said by others, these units are permanently on some sort of offer, normally bundled as they are here or even with the 4 drawer model as well. I got mine in October when this bundle was £159.99 (I got a further 10% off through my British Cycling membership).
If you absolutely need to buy some tool chests now, then these are not a bad choice at this price. If not, then you might be able to pick up even cheaper if you wait a little longer and watch the price.

You're not comparing like with like. The Halfords Pro range have high quality ball-bearing draw runners, the SGS set that you've picked out have the same runners as an Argos bedside table! SGS Pro cabinets are £50 more than the Halfords deal.

Actually it says on the SGS site :
"smooth ball-bearing sliders, to the sturdy powder coated steel frame, this rugged tool chest will give you years of reliable service in your workshop or garage."

sgs-engineering are top quality! i've been using their Mechanics Tool Cart Trolley & Workstation every day for the last year, its taken some abuse but still works perfectly. and for £74.99, its £3-400 cheaper compared to the top brands

Yes, it does - for the Pro range, not for the Mechanics cabinet that Deadpool2 linked, which merely says, "The super smooth draws glide open effortlessly". Look at the photos, you can see that they're not ball-bearing runners!
Thanks for your help, but I'm perfectly capable of reading, however I think your username is pretty appropriate!!

I didn't say that SGS are not good quality, I just made the observation that you did not make a fair comparison with the Halfords deal.

But that's a cabinet not drawers. Their cabinet with drawers is £150 on its own.
Not a fair comparison.

These are excellent, I got two for £320 in the last deal we had on here last year.
I find Halfords customer service excellent as well - I bought them last September but only got round to setting them up last month and one of the top cabinets was badly damaged and they swapped it no questions asked - they said the people that deliver them to the Halfords stores often drop them on a corner which causes the damage - so check them out when you get them, the box looked fine.
The quality is excellent though, I have filled both mine already!!

I have these and as has already been said, they are good for the current offer price. I'd never pay their full asking price for them though.
However, I got an email a few days ago saying they were on special offer at £150. I think they change their prices when the weather changes!!

I got these as well, bought them last month for £105 Vochers and inspire points. They are not bad, butt not great either go and have a look before you buy, my local stores had them on display and all of them where damaged and felt fragile. The ball bearing sliders are not the best quality,as the ones on mine slides further on site and you have to close them slowly!

You have no idea what your talking about, quality is not even close to the set posted by the OP. This is a flimsy basic tool box without ball bearing runners
