Funny you say that. The Asda poly/cotton mix shirt I bought is the least worn & probably will stay that way for a long while compare to my other 100% cotton shirts with prints day in day out. I didn't buy the Asda poly/cotton shirt just to fill any gaps in my wardrobe. It was bought on the premise of wearing it.
Tip: Always wash prints inside out to minimise fade.
What did we have before the popularity of poly/cotton mix? It was 100% cotton shirts with prints. I say manufacturers are using cheaper methods of printing, lowering quality standards & control with use of cheaper poly/cotton mix than 100% cotton.
I wouldn't mind 100% cotton print shirts faded as I will buy a new one when I need one. Nothing lasts forever.

Nah, that's ****.
The best graphics can be printed on 100 per cent cotton. Proof?
The best quality Tees, ie the most expensive with graphics are on 100 per cent cotton.
I still have an 87 Grand Prix t-shirt that I wear every year (Jordan, anyone remember them? ) and it's 100 Cotton, still looks in remarkable condition nearly THIRTY YEARS on!! (hence why I keep wearing it - at one point someone asked me if I was a fan of Jordan? Yeah. Oh, she's a **** came the response! Good job she stopped using that name and went back to Katy Price LOL.
Anyway, pics here to prove. Look how sharp the printed graphic is still. But then Goodsports did do HIGH quality clothing.

Never understand why people pay their hard earned to wear something that advertises a product. Manufacturers must be laughing their tits off!
Good range here though, so must be something suitable, but too many are 8 quid plus. T's can be got anywhere now in sales at under a fiver.
Oh, and can someone explain WHY anyone who is sane, wear absolute crap like this?
AND pay money for it!!!!!
I wouldn't buy this if it was a penny. Well, except perhaps to flog on ebay. Some idiot will buy it, buy ...WHY?
I have money to spend but it's bloody annoying that ones I like are poly/cotton mix. Same here, No thanks, I'll pass. I only wear 100% cotton.:disappointed:

Chances are that the 'graphic designs' come only on the cotton/poly mix so that the graphics bond better and don't degrade like they do on 100% cotton

I both agree and disagree. ahhh head is going to explode!
no but seriously as long as its over 60% cotton then its ok, over 80% its good and 100% great.
and I think it makes a difference which layer it is, base layer I wouldn't wear less than 70% cotton.
Years ago I used to work somewhere the uniform was 50/50 mix and I have to say some people stunk and others didn't but the people who didn't had good hygiene whereas those who stunk were the kind that thought uniforms were meant to be worn for 2 days before washing or didn't shower daily, one guy only had 1 bath a week which made my skin crawl thinking about it. Imagine it, a bath once a week so it just stewing in a weeks worth of dirt... it wasn't even a shower!

Your right there. I got 1 t-shirt with 50/50 poly/cotton mix & that VW Golf t-shirt was from Asda George years ago. I don't have to do much movement before I can feel sweaty due to the 50/50 poly/cotton mix even in cool not cold climate. It's the same with bed sheets that are 50/50 poly/cotton mix, you will absolutely sweat if you're completely covered over even when the central heating is off. Stick with 100% cotton. You won't regret it.

Natural fabrics are more comfortable to wear than man made. Polyester in particular makes you sweat a lot, whereas cotton lets your skin breathe and you feel fresher, especially in hot weather.
