Totally agree, I have only just had to replace my GP rechargables after 6 years permanent use, great brand!
As mentioned though, these are half capacity so it stands to reason that these will last half as long if used often.
Okay deal for infrequent use electricals or if you need a charger, but personally I'd spend a quid more and just get a 4 pack of GPs with twice the capacity if you don't.

At least all 12 of my 4 year old GP re-cyklo+ batteries are still going strong. I know it's not the exact same model, but nothing so bad about the brand. If I understand right the charger requires a USB power source so that can help explain the low price. I know it won't be a good charger, but could be handy for occasional travel use. The main thing is these are low self discharge, and even if the capacity is low they are great for low drain items like a bluetooth keyboard, or remote controls.

I assume this is a standard AA & AAA battery charger... the "powerbank" name and talk of putting it in your pocket on the website confuses its purpose slightly, for me anyway.

Had to check on GP Smart Energy batteries. They claim to be low self discharge which is good but the capacity seems to be 1000 and 400mAh or about half that of typical quality batteries. I would rather pay more to change them half as often.
The Halfords deal was for GP re-cyklo+ which are 2000 and 800 mAh minimum.

I think last time I looked at these they were rubbish 600maH batteries. Can OP confirm?
