The average price started at $6 and is now closing in on $10. I'm guessing the majority of people are paying the $13 top tier. It wouldn't surprise me if the average beats the $13 top tier at same point!

It is always best to just put $0.01 down as that always used to reserve me the average price at that point (for me anyway!). If the average falls then you could just open a new Humble account and pay the current average price.

Just a question then...since I am new to all this, I keep reading up about personal use on this - I have got a bundle and want to gift some of the codes to a friend..I was going to just give him the codes to then download, but it just keeps mentioning "your own personal use only" - but then I see people above giving them away for free giveaways etc...so basicly question is, if i buy a bundle say, its "all" for me - then use half the codes myself then just give half the codes to my mate..is that still "legal" within the HB terms and conditions

Giving away codes to friends (or enemies, or anyone else who you might care to :stuck_out_tongue:) is absolutely fine, you've nothing to worry about. In fact, most of the time, Humble actually provides gifting links as an alternative to a key for you to redeem yourself. I guess that there are technical complications meaning that that's no possible for them to do here with eShop keys, but you're still completely free to give away the keys. :smiley:

Shantae and the Pirate's Curse has excellent reviews and from a classic series that goes back to the Game Boy Color, Retro City Rampage: DX also has way above average reviews, I could go on but...oh what the heck, Rhythm Thief & the Emperor's Treasure is unique game mixing Puzzles with adventuring and rhythm based gameplay, Super Street Fighter IV: 3D Edition is a bona fida classic of the 3DS. As for Darksiders 2, I have never played it but it seems to be a 70 plus scored game

The codes are valid for the region that you're based on (though Asia is excluded, I believe). Just check that the text about region restrictions that's just above the payment boxout correctly reflects your region.

Judging by how much you get from the top tier, I'd imagine many would pay $13 to get everything. That will drive the average up.

I'll have to get this for affordable space adventures. Unfortunately the other games don't appeal. Has there ever been a Nintendo Humble Deal Before? Hopefully it will happen again as the e-shop games are overpriced on my opinion. If they bring a bundle out with year walk , art academy attelier and need for speed most wanted I'll be very happy.

This is the first one ever for EU if I remember correctly. Second one for the US since they had a nindies humble bundle there last year.

Nintendo has said they were very happy with the results (for the US one) and wanted to do more so we may well get another by the end of the year. Don't expect more than that though! They're obviously experimenting with this format and are doing so carefully.

:smiley: Not going to happen I'm afraid. Nintendo are completely against the deep discount sale culture. Fundamentally, the basis is that it devalues games and trains people to use the sale price as a game's valuation.

I dunno, I do see brewing signs of discontent from developers about the culture of deep discounts so it's not like Nintendo are standing alone in this.

Went for the $13.00 option. Fantastic value. Already started playing Shantae and it's well worth it. All the games in the bundle are highly rated. Citizen Earth is the Earthbound sequel that many have been crying out for. Really pleased thus far and very interested to see what will be the added games :smiley:

The big standouts for me are Rhythm Thief (which I own physically twice because it was so underappreciated) and Affordable Space Adventures (which is apparently an excellent use of Wii U hardware but unfortunately was not affordable).

Second tier for me is Retro City Rampage (good game, but already beat it on Vita), Shantae & Pirate's Curse (a series made famous on Nintendo but now on all platforms), and Freedom Planet (has strong reviews and is apparently the classic Sonic game SEGA never makes).

What I can't really get my head around is why the average is being pulled up so high presumably from people buying SF4 3DS and Darksiders 2 Wii U... correct me if I'm wrong but these seem like two games that have better versions on any other console, especially Darksiders 2 with its recent remastered Definitive Edition and the fact the Wii U version permanently lacks two of the three major DLCs...
I mean if you ONLY have a Wii U then it's better than nothing, but I had thought before now that surely most active Nintendo fans have at least one of the other four (not to mention PC).

Of course, but they could buy more than once and for the same donation give the codes to friends or good-natured giveaways, therefore supporting more good causes in the process. Alternatively just give to your choice of charity on any other day. I do believe that humble bundle is a remarkably good charity outlet but I would be surprised if people by the thousands are using it as their opportunity to give over and above just for the sake of giving.

Kudos to the OP. I did not know a humble bundle for Nintendo even existed and always assumed it was a "pc thing"!

My son has a 3DS and Wii U. He has NONE of these games, so $13 / £9 is fantastic value and I purchased them all! Having had a quick look at some of the videos I am super glad I did. Freedom planet looks superb. Likewise he has nothing like Darksiders on Wii U.

The best value £9 spend in an age - and I heavily tilted my donation toward the charities.

Had been planning to buy Affordable Space Adventure at some point so getting everything else included for less than ASA costs on the eShop is amazing. :smile: Hopefully they don't decide to add Shovel Knight or Fast Racing Neo as bought both of those just recently.

I think what Alasdair91's trying to say is that you need to pay above whatever the average is at the time of purchase in order to be eligible for the extras - you're not actually disagreeing :stuck_out_tongue:

Of course, the nature of the bundle offerings is such that the average will generally increase with time, but at this point we'll already have seen the majority of that increase.

I can't believe that this bundle includes two of the most expensive indie games on the Wii U eShop, Affordable Space Adventures and Sword and Soldiers 2. Both of them interested me but I couldn't justify the price to myself.
