Whilst it might be mildly annoying having bought something that would have qualified you for the voucher just a few days before the offer started, I hardly think many people will be that bothered about a £10 voucher to go through the rigmarole of visiting argos again, laying out another £200, returning to argos to return the item, then waiting for the refund of the extra £200 they've spent.

A few decent tv deals as well with the £10 voucher, you need to checkout to see the prices drop

And the fuel needed to travel to argos to get one with a voucher and back and then back to argos again for a refund would probably eat into the "saving" anyway

also must read T&C to really find out if really worth, e.g. where to use it on/off line, when expires...

Last time this was on we were ordering some furniture. Ordered online, got the voucher code in email. Said to use voucher order online and select home delivery. So voucher only worth £6.05.
If you're in store it's better.

I used my last online voucher for an online order where I used their pre-paid 'fast-track' collect in store method

Anyone know what happens if you buy something with your free £10 voucher, then return it within 30 days? Do they give you a new voucher or do you just lose the free credit. I only ask as I got a free voucher last time Argos were running this promotion and then bought something with the free voucher.
I'm thinking of returning that item, but not sure if it works like that! I can't seem to find anything in the T&Cs to confirm.

They'll give you another voucher, done this before myself  it doesn't say on the receipt that it's a promotional gift card so they assume it's the same as any other

Unfortunately it's only the one voucher per transaction so you'd only qualify for a £10 voucher... Would be nice if they gave £10 per £100 :disappointed:

Not that I would but... what would prevent someone from buying a £100 item, getting the voucher and then returning said item?
edit: nevermind found the answer:
18.If all or some of the product(s) are returned under the Argos 30-day money back guarantee, thereby reducing the value of the original transaction to a) less than £50 (in respect of transactions between £50-£99.99) or b) less than £100 (in respect of transactions over £100 or more), the free vouchers must be returned. If the voucher is not returned, the voucher amount will be deducted from the money refunded.

Only if it hasn't been used, unless you rebuy another one then use the old receipt to return the new one. Therefore keeping the gift card

I am one of those bothered people :-). It all depends if you need the additional £10 voucher as it all adds up in this day and age, in my books £10 is a lot of money and every little helps. As I purchase regularly from Argos, on numerous occasions I have taken items back, tried to purchase it again and I have just been given the voucher without being refunded / exchanged in just 1 visit. If not, then I use the original funds to purchase. Argos is only 5 minutes away from me so it's not out of the way. On this site, people go crazy for a £1 savings so why not for a £5 or £10 voucher. It's all about applying a bit of common sense to any deal really.
