no it isnt ASDA has the offer on the bigger size and is therefore much better value.

whilst Asda has this at £2.50 for the 730ml

I have to say, though , that the bottle I got from Sainsbury's wasn't as good as the one I had before. I'm going to do a comparison soon but I'm a bit suspicious.

I put this on Tesco's spag bol (which is bland without it) and on the less flavourful brands of pepperoni pizza out there. It gives a nice spicy kick without a massive burn in your mouth. Supposed to be refridgerated once opened for a max of 8 weeks, but it does last longer than that. One batch Tesco had included an opaque sheath over the top of the green nozzle - presumably to cover the hole you make with a pin on the end of the nozzle (nothing on the bottle tells you to make that hole though...).

If kebab shops had this instead of the watery mess they use it would be awesome. Kebabs are one of the best things to use with sriracha sauce with if you haven't tried!

I actually prefer this to Huy Fong, Due to the fact it's thicker and isn't vinegary like the original.

Sriracha usually has a white rooster on the bottle, green ribbed twist cap and is bright red. Goose brand is a weaker but good approximation and after that the rip-offs range from acceptable to outright rubbish (Tabasco has a very poor version trying to cash in on it). These can be identified by the different coloured varieties of bottle. Sriracha is great for cooking in that it subs for many chili sauces in recipes such as dynamite shrimp but the best version uses Thai chillies rather than local ones produced in the US

The goose brand is practically tasteless when compared to the rooster. I had no idea they stocked it in Sainsburys, I've been importing it from the States.
