Admitedly they might not be so eager after just giving away one free but I actually ordered two and on the second one I only got a half price deal so maybe on that account they could be persuaded, after all surely a modest profit and the possibility of more business in coming months is better than none at all, which is what they get when you cancel.

After all with a name like that I can't imagine they are too popular outside of free boxes and specials. :wink:

Sent the email at 7:29am and got the reply at 8:52 am so was pretty speedy

Has anyone tried negotiating instead of just outright cancelling? I was quite pleasantly surprised with it. I wouldn't pay £13 for it but if they would do another one for around half price I'd be more than happy to leave my sub open.

I'd certainly give them the chance to offer a discount before cancelling, though if it's a case of £13 or cancel I'd have to cancel...

How long did you have to wait before you received that? I cancelled earlier today.

Id say these would cost way more than £5 even from Aldi, probably nearer £10. Quite good value in my opinion I just don't want the randomness of it all.

April box arrived for me too. Maybe they decided to give away some March ones they had left over?

For everyone who wants to cancel you have to go here.

The phone number is a required field but wasn't working properly for me. I put in my mobile number, which got rejected. If you are also struggling simply take the first "0" of your mobile number out and try again.

To cover your backside I'd suggest you also enter "My full phone number is xxxxxxxxxxx, which your phone field was not accepting for some reason" in the comments section. Better safe than sorry!

Got mine, feel kinda bad as it was free, but no way would I pay £12.99 either... I got chewits, Weetabix drinks, popcorn, crisps, easter bunny, rice cakes and some cheddar biscuits

roughly priced it up, from Aldi about £5 worth

They probably dispatched them early cause of the sheer amount of people who signed up cause of the free box.

My two coming tomorrow too, weird as I just logged in and it said it was getting ready to send and the delivery estimate was 25th - 30th, less than an hour later get an email saying it's coming tomorrow, guess I'll have to take their estimates with a pinch of salt.

Looking forward to it just because I like surprises, hope it's a nice one....

Just a heads up, checked my account and the boxes are being packed from today. So it is now too late to change your delivery address if you made a mistake.

Sure enough it IS working now, so they (Degusta) misinformed me as they said it was definitely expired. Trouble is now I have two accounts/orders with them as before I saw the code was working again I placed an order through Quidco for £7 off with £2 odd cashback and now I placed another order for the free box.

To be honest I don't mind getting two boxes at all, as long as it's not incredibly short life stuff, just hope they don't flag two accounts with exactly the same details and delete my orders....

How are people who have received a box finding it? I wanted to get one but left it a bit too late and the code had expired. I contacted them to ask if they could give me a new code so I could try a box but they said they could only give me a £7 discount code instead, so wondering if it's likely to have £6 worth of stuff in it?

Seems like a waste of money. But still one of the best free things I've seen on HUKD.

Worked for me. For those who did manage to enter the code before they corrected the code, or stopped giving away the free box, you can contact and cancel right now and still get the free box. When I enquired about it this is the reply I got.

Does the £2 charge go back on your card?

The code ended up charging me the £12.99, but I contacted Degusta and they've refunded me the cost :smiley:

Code freebox no longer works... Tried in lower case and uppercase. Would have been a good deal otherwise. Good find though.

this deal is now misleading as you have to sign up for biannual subscription to get the free box

Oh good, March box looked dissapointing with all them packs of chewits, Lindt bunny from Easter and a few bars & bag of crisps.
Looking back at previous months though, it does look like just bits and pieces of scraps put together. Oh well, call me a rat because I'll enjoy them free scraps! :smile:

I don't want to blow everyone's bubble but I've seen this months box and it's pretty crap in truth. I'm glad we are getting it for free, it's looks like bits and pieces of stuff and packs of chewits (classy). I saw the pics on there Twitter page, but I bet them mugs didn't get it free like we are though :smirk:

mine said invalid code when freebox was lowercase i switched it to uppercase and it worked. email confirms the price of 0.00 with the next payment due on the 10 may if i decide to continue with it.

Said code invalid, yet at the same time said 'congratulations you'll get your first box free'. Looks like they've charged £12.99 on the account summary page though, so dropped them an email to confirm!

Just worked for me, the first time I clicked in the code box it asked for my email for a £7 discount, I exited it and clicked the code box again and it let me enter my free box discount code.

Only gave me a discount of £7 but will probe try anyway

I've had them and there not bad. As soon as box arrives you just fill in form to cancel and it's cancelled in 24 hours no problem
