I reserved one of those too and received a call to say that it'll just be the device and the power cable. No real surprise there.
Other that the instruction manual, what else will I need to fit it to my Seat Ibiza?

Appears as though that model is 'bluetooth ready' and needs KS-BTA100 adapter.

do they come with all the bits to install in the car?

Might need a trim plate and wiring harness adapter.

5 Apr 161#14
Do t buy their wiring harnesses. If it's not storing settings simply swap the two cables around they're connected using push fit. Don't buy their rip off wiring harnesses

there were a few ex-display ones in the cabinet in Sutton Coldfield at the weekend. did look very cheap

5 Apr 16#16
Tempted by this.
Been after a car radio for a while but I'm not interested in anything expensive.
All I want is a player that'll run music from a USB stick/sd card.
Useful to know if they come with the trim plate, never swapped a radio before but YouTube helps.:smirk:

Unless your car already has a single din stereo, you'll need a fascia to fit your car, which converts the OEM hole into a single din hole.
The stereo will come with a cage, you may need an aerial adapter, and a wiring harness if you have steering wheel controls.

How can ex display get on here, surely that's max 1 per store?

5 Apr 16#25
Waste of time , not available for delivery and you don't even know which store has it -- pls expire
julieallen to madmaxpayne
5 Apr 162#26
Can you not put your postcode in like everyone else, it tells you if your local store has it and if not where the nearest is, pretty much everything is available within 15 miles from me,

Old 01yr Citreon Saxo already has the OEM cd player/radio in, and no black magic steering controls.
So it's as simple as hooking the old one out with its cage, fitting the wires to the right slots on the new one and slidng the new cage in unless I've missed something blaring obvious?
Thanks

In what universe is JVC a better brand than Kenwood? Or have the brands changed drastically in the last few years? Not saying JVC aren't a good brand, they are.
To clarify, I wasn't aware that JVC and Kenwood have been part of the same company for a few years, still my point stands, both brands are on par, JVC is no better.

This is bargain but most of the cars we drive nowadays are already equipped with proper sound system
Most of these do not have DAB Radio, hence why they are so cheap. Car Stereo without DAB is not worth it IMHO

they got stock at Guildford so I'm gonna get one I have a pioneer bit is too big to fit on the first din so I'm getting this one because it's smaller

Just a quick question. I've got a Vauxhall Corsa exclusive 05 plate, anyone know if there's an adapter to make the steering wheel buttons work?
omneity1
5 Apr 16#40
That's the one I have (save for blue LED display on mine), it's a cracking stereo with a clear display even in bright sunlight. Stick a micro-USN memory stick in the front and you can store loads of MP3's. Make sure the USB is formatted to FAT32, they often come formatted with NTFS which is not recognized by this unit.
FWIW JVC are now part of the Kenwood Group who have an excellent reputation.

Got it up and running.
It initially wouldn't remember my saved settings after powering off, but connecting the yellow cable to the red cable and vice versa as described in the user manual solved that (the yellow and red wires can be split and this needs to be done for certain Volkswagen Group and Vauxhall cars).
Hi would any of these fit into a bmw 06 late 1 series? Has the factory model installed.

Double din. DPX-406DAB. Many thanks OP - couldn't find one second hand for that price with warranty. Looks in great condition but gave it a scrub over with my bathroom anti-bac cleaning wipes though!

Got Kenwood KMM-303BT, went to the shop, turned out they have lost it. Gave me KMM-BT302 instead, with all setup, box etx, for the same price (£30).
BUT the guy was telling me this is a free UPGRADE and tried to convince me that Kenwood goes down with numbers, so my stereo is better LOL.
As I said I am happy anyway but that was a big bulls**t!!
Heat added, thanks!!
