I thought this a great price for a solid (and yes, fairly basic I know) mobile. Fine for my husband, who's just going to bung in the sim he's already got from that cheap deal. Save £1 on £29.99 offer price when you order by FastTrack online. I suggest you do order online rather than collect in store because otherwise they'll insist you buy with £10 top-up (unless you want that).

Ha, gone back down to £29.99. Wish they'd make their minds up.
I can recommend this phone. Bought for £35 from CPW with £10 Credit on Vodafone PAYG few weeks back now, was unlocked. Great cheap phone with good performance if you root & flash another KitKat ROM.

I don't know what the Argos web site team are smoking, but it must be quite strong because the specs on there are somewhat bogus.
You can see the actual specs (but note, there's more than one model variation) on Huawei's site.
A brief summary of the differences:
- Screen is 480x800 pixels (not 800x600 or full HD)
- Android 4.4 (not 5.0)
- Rear camera is 5MP, but fixed focus so will suck. I'm pretty sure it doesn't have dual flash.

I think this has already been mentioned but this is advertised at 29.99 with a £10 top up (ie it is included). However if you go instore and reserve they will insist you need to pay extra for the top up ie 39.99 in total. I had to cancel my reservation, pay online, fast track collect and even then had to complain to the manager. So the phone was then 19.99 and the top up 10. I then followed the advice of another person on here and used the 10 voucher to unlock. I know have a cheap holiday phone for when I go away unlocked for £29. Only niggle for me is the 512ram but I'm only going to use call, text email and a bit of internet.

I went in-store to the get this phone for my grandma, they didn't match the lowest price across all networks, so I just bought a good condition S2 from eBay for her.

Also noticed that the Y3 and Y5 is available at EE stores and online for only £29.99 and £34.99 respectively. Y5 slightly better spec and 5mp camera with flash though still need the £10 top up

Oh I see. Either way the STOP PACK text should still work to prevent any further top-ups from converting into an allowance pack.

True but there is ZERO credit on this phone.....you have to top it up before use

It's an allowance of minutes, text and data that lasts for 30 days from the day the SIM is activated.
It's easy to convert it to actual £10 of real credit though:
1. Make sure the phone is fully set-up before inserting the SIM for the first time.
2. Insert the SIM into the phone
3. Quickly text STOP PACK to 150 (via SMS messaging).
4. EE will respond asking you to confirm. Reply YES to 150.
This will prevent the £10 Everything pack from activating. The credit can then be used however you like, you can even use it to unlock a phone that is locked to the EE network (uses £8.99 of the remaining credit).
Remember to disable Mobile Data though, as it's quite expensive when not using an allowance pack.

Virgin and Vodafone.
That said, if you purchase in store, CPW match the lowest price across all the networks.
Not bad hey

I believe this is £19.99 at CPW for anyone eligible for a pay and go upgrade.

Possible £5 cashback if you go via TopCashback or Quidco too.
