Good deal, ideal for an emergency phone or for doing the text charities. Or topping up Google Play wallet thanks to Clnsndrs for informing me of this.
Multi sim so all sizes there. You can cancel the £1 pack if you ring up the EE automated plan change and change the plan to anything else.
You can only purchase 2 of these within a 3 month period.

Can this be used as a data sim only ?

texting DATA to 150 gives you 100mb a week plus 10 texts and 10mins for £1 - so 5 weeks worth
Did this last week - still available - although not showing on ee page

YES.....end of October 2016

24 Apr 16#21
You simply ensure Data is switched off on your device & text Stop Pack to 150......all £5 should then be available as credit for any purpose
corred1964
24 Apr 16#22
You can put them in a data device but the data limit is around 100Mb a week....you need to either stop the phone pack via text or online first

24 Apr 16#23
I don't think so (though it has been a while since I tried as I don't have a PS3 any more).
AFAIK, as there is a charge for the top-up text (10p or something) you then don't have enough credit left for the £5 top-up so it fails. Also, looks like EE aren't currently supported.
You can use these sims for charity donations though eg. JustGiving

As EE is orange/Tmobile I cannot see why not.....just choose Orange

24 Apr 16#25
Does anybody know if you can tether the data that the £5 credit would provide?
If so, any idea of the amount of data that £5 would provide?
Cheers in advance :-)

Yep, missed that, sorry! Still won't work for these sims because of the minimum spend though, unless they've removed the text charge.

do you have to top up first to get this £5credit or can you just put it phone and use straight away...

I think EE offer a £1 minimum topup so you can still get £5 of credit & leave 90p on the phone ;-)
Thanks for that unfortunately saw it after I just got back, I saw them sim packeta but I don't think it had that sticker on so my store must not have them

just a quick tip. if any of u do international calls den just get any plan removed and it will work like international sim. eg 2p/min call to india

Rare for O2 to offer decent sim deals....although if they did I'd probably miss them as there is no O2 (or even Vodaphone) reception where I live

Any other wallet like websites or accounts you can use the credits on these sims?

27 Apr 16#41
EE T's and C's for these SIMs
6.3 You must make a Connection Action at least once every 180 days. If You do not, Your SIM Card w ill be
disconnected from the Netw ork and You w ill not be able to use the Services. You will lose Your mobile phone number
and any Credit on Your Account at the time of such disconnection will be forfeited.
corred1964
27 Apr 16#42
That is once activated though....the sim cards carry an expiry date
PaulCCT
27 Apr 16#43
When you buy the SIM you have to use it at least once within 180 days or EE assume it's a dead number and will cancel the SIM and remove any credit.
corred1964
27 Apr 16#44
Not really the case....I bought a few of these well over a year ago, only activated today & still had £5 credit on it
When you buy from a high street shop.....unless marked with an expiry date who knows how long they have had them in stock ?
What if I buy one today & the shop has had it for 170 days.....by your logic if I did not use it in 10 days it would stop working.....EE have no idea when each sim is sold through a normal high street shop .....

Finally got one of these sims thanks, put it in my phone to donate to charity and they've taken £1 for some **** pack thing that I didn't want... Do you happen to know how to stop this from happening?

Text stop pack to 150, but be sure to put the data on the phone off before inserting the sim.
james_lfc
27 Apr 16#47
Thanks for that, am I right in thinking I can only £4 because the text to the charity costs me 10p?

As they are topped up before they leave EE know that they are active. This starts the 180 day clock

Thanks I don't think they're free too text though, I bought 10 sims and the most I've been able to donate is £4 and £1 extra with giftaid
Still good but annoying it's not the full amount and that random 70p's etc are being left on the sims

Bought one of these SIMs (followed the deal link to buy from eBay seller 'ee-uk-shop' who are just a company pretending to be EE by the way). SIM arrived today but there is no mention of the £5 free credit on the packaging etc (just says £1 talk and text pack). Have I been conned? Or will I find £5 credit if I shove this in a phone? Didn't want to break out the SIM card and try it in a phone just in case I need to send back.
Just wondered if anyone else has bought one of these from the same seller?

Mine has no indication of the £5 credit either.
