Fantastic game, spent many hours on this. So easy to use and the gameplay is brilliant.

I didn't enjoy the base version of this game, but found the expansion to be a bit of fun. Would recommend with the expansion.

I don't really see the point of cheating when it's you against the AI, but if you could build an uber-champ that way then take it into mulitplayer games online I suppose it would matter.

Half the game runs on the Blizzard servers so without an internet connection it isn't unlike trying to play World of Warcraft (or any other massive multiplayer game) offline.
Why did they choose to do it this way? Well it's an extremely effective anti-piracy technique. As well as being anti-consumer. Blizzard is probably one of the only companies that can get away with stunts like this.

As everything is done on Blizzards servers. It prevents cheating.

The console version is offline, and that is just full of cheaters unfortunately.

Why would you need it for single player?
