A quick release mechanism invented by Bosch many years ago.
I have a 5 piece dewalt set and they are far superior to any of the budget ones I have purchased: nice and straight to begin with and don't buckle under load.

Ta, always wonder about the quality of drill bits especially masonry ones. This seems a very good price if they last more than just a handful of times.
