How to get the deal as the "Get Deal" link wont work (as some people can't bother to read the comments)
Copy and past the following - Then search for the machine listed in the deal http://outlet.euro.dell.com/Online/InventorySearch.aspx?brandid=1&c=uk&cs=ukdfh1&l=en&s=dfh
Alternatively
Go to http://www.dell.co.uk
Go to the bottom of the page and click dell outlet (bottom left)
On the next page click on "Outlet Desktops & All-in-Ones" in the Dell Outlet for Home section
Then search for the model listed in the deal, it should come up at the top automatically anyway as it's likely the most popular item at the minute.

Note that it seems to have a non standard powersupply and the motherboard is certainly a Dell special, annoying that they're doing this again after having gone to ATX powersupplies for most full sized desktop in the last 10 years. If you plan to upgrade, this machine is more limited than is usual for a Dell desktop.
2 weeks to late i got the 3900.
But this is a hotter deal.

Likewise, but I'm happy with the 3900 though :sunglasses:

Nice CPU and modest GPU but okay for the price. My Dell from 2008 is still powering along.

Interesting spec. Would it be straightforward to replace the graphics card with something much more up to date.

Yep me to.
Ive fitted my 120gb ssd. Loaded win 10 pro.just waiting for a new 18 inch sata cable and a bracket to fit my old 500gb drive.
I will keep the win 7 drive in situe just in case.

Seems reasonable. Should manage full HD at low detail on most modern games and a bit better on anything that's not very current or demanding. If you're happy to play at HD ready then it's more than capable of cranking up the detail a little more on modern titles. And console players say a gaming PC can't be had for console money.

The card in this machine should perform no better than the one in this review, in some cases it will be lower frames per second as it uses slower GDDR3 RAM.

Dell outlet links never work on here, try clicking this link (or copying and pasting):
and then sort by price and you should see the item, there's 3 left at the moment.
Looks like a fairly decent price for what you get.

The link seems to be dead, for me. The GT 730 doesn't seem to be a significant improvement on the CPU's intigrated HD530 graphics, so I wonder, does the motherboard itself have HDMI or display port or DVI out, or is that only from the graphic's card's outputs? Thinking people could sell the graphics card on, if the integrated graphics are accessible from the motherboards I/O. Anyone know the wattage of the PSU? Anyway, seems like a decent deal.
Edit - thanks spannerzone for the link, going that extra mile, as usual.

Unless it's kippered with the GDDR3 version of the card.
Edit: it is the DDR3 one. Expect a wee nit lower performance than the previously posted reviews

Good point, well made, I hadn't noticed that. I'll edit my original comment to ensure no confusion.

I can vouch for Dell doing weird things with power supplies and motherboards. I bought a workstation board (T7600) expecting it to just work, maybe need a second EPS connector for the second CPU.
Nope. Had what looked like a 24 pin ATX connector but with vastly different wiring, plus some weird 20-pin ATX connector re-purposed to supply 12v and ground. On top of all that it seems to be communicating with the PSU to check for capabilities and not turning on if it doesn't get the right response.
Gave up and got an Asus Z9PE-D8 WS and that just worked. Dell should really stop doing weird custom stuff.

Power supply may be an issue, cannot tell what wattage it is
Yes, sort of, Dell Outlet can be customer returns (used items sent back for a variety of reasons) or could be a canceled order that is actually brand new or could be a scratch n' dent (I assume this is when the factory knock the PC and it can't be sold as new (Like scratch n' sniff but less smelly)

Plus a GT730 is only a bit better than integrated graphics! Buy any reasonably priced I3 or FX-4xxx powered PC with a half decent case, 8gb of ram and hope it's got a 300+ watt PSU. Slot in a GTX950 for £130 that will run every game at medium/1080p/60fps.
